Can anyone give info on the display on a 4-4 Honda Rubicon 203-500? Changed battery and when put battery back in display worked about 5 minutes then went blank. Checked fuses they are good, is their a fuse any where?
I just bought a 1997 Honda 300 4×4. It’s a great running bike but both inboard cv boots are cracked and need to be replaced. I bought both of them but I am unsure of how to replace them and the specs on the torque for the axle nuts and lug nuts. How do I go about replacing the inboard boots? Thanks
If any of you are on Highlifter or the 300 FB page you may recognize my bike, but figure I’ll go ahead and show it off for those of you who may not. This bike took me a year and a half to build with a lot of time and money into it. It very far from stock with a 3" body lift, 3" suspension lift, a few engine mods, a lot of new OEM parts and much more.
My father’s 1997 ish Fourtrax 250 is having starter issues. He has had trouble with the electric starter and has purchased good used components for the starter mechanism.
He has been using the kick start and he noticed that it kicks back. We think that the timing is too advanced and maybe this is what caused the electric start to fail?
Is there any way to set the timing on a Froutrax so it doesn’t kick back on the kick start or the electric start?
Hello I am new to the forum and so I figured Id introduce myself and say that recently purchased a 94 fourtrax 300 4×4 and so far by the look of it and price I paid I am very happy. It has a few issues and needs some love but the first issue in the rear end some sort of clunking where from I don’t know exactly just picked it up any insight into issues they have back there? second issues is that it hasn’t been started in who knows how long but that seems simple enough. Any thoughts?
I have a 4×4 i bought a few months back the previous owner wired the fuel pump into the fuse box piggy backing off another wire… when you ride it for more than 45 mins the fuse and fuse box gets so hot it melts… ive unhooked the pump from tht wire and ran it striaght to the battery and put a fuse block in the line from battery to pump . Only issue is i have to unplug the ground each time i cut off the atv or the pump will continue to run … any idea of a wire i could piggy back off of tht will cut power with the switch and not over load the fuse . Or should i just go with a toggle switch …
My 2007 TRX420TE/FE Fourtrax Rancher 420 ES/4X4 manual shift died while riding and will not start. We had a family gathering where several adults were taking turns ridding the ATV. Late in the day I see one of the guys pushing the Rancher back up to the barn. He said he was riding along and it just died, tried several times to restart and nothing. There was fresh fuel in the tank, the battery had a charge and we could only hear a faint click from under the seat. Thinking it may be the battery I charged it overnight, cleaned the connections and tried starting it again with no luck. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.
I just changed right crank case cover gasket & a washer dropped off so I had to remove cover again & when I did the kick start shaft came out. I hooked it bk inside case, turned it clockwise, & lined the mark up @ top. Got it all back together & Its not right. Someone out there has got 2 be able to tell me exactly what to do…..
Did I not turn it far enough before sliding it in?
