Kenda Bearclaw HTR’s Review

After 1500 km’s, i figure is post my thoughts on the Bearclaw HTR’s, im after doing a few good runs over a mixture of terrains, i ran these through hard packed trails, rocks, mud, pavement and a few sand beaches. On hard packed trails they are relatively smooth, have a bit of a shake in the handlebars but its to be expected and def not unbareable, I also have them mounted on ITP wheels so im sure that is a factor to. In the mur they are pretty good for a trail tire, nothing spectacular but for a trail tires there actually pretty good, i was imperssed. there pretty good in the rocks to, i havent had a whole lot of going in rocks but from what i did they were good. For the few runs i did on the beach they seemed to be good to. Overall these tires are a great tire, and i must add they look ALOT better in person than they do in pictures. I had swamplites on my previous grizzly and in some place where i had to put the bike in 4wd i can make it in 2wd on the new bike with these tires. I hope this helps anyone looking into these tires!!

size difference

I am running 27" Zillas. I might have to go to a none mudding tire for a club maintained trail. So I was thinking of the Bighorn og. The Zilla is on a 12" rim It measures smaller more like 26.5". What size Bighorn would I run to have the same size as my Zilla?

Tire upgrade possibilities?

Hello everyone, a noob grizzly owner. Just picked up a 2013 700 eps and would like to upgrade the tires over stock. It has maxxis mu19/mu20’s on it now, 25-8×12 and 25-10×12’s. What size tire can I go to with the stock wheels and not have to get into shimming, springs, etc…I see a lot of mud and will be plowing snow as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

350

Hey guys you think a 350 with 2mm shim can handle 27×7.5 interforce tires. They are 24.5 lbs. To be honest I like the 25x8x12 maxxis m979 on the front and wish they were on the back as well. I like the skinny look and don’t really haul ass anywhere. I just kinda cruise around in the woods over logs and shit, and the creeks I cross always have a bottom. Don’t trail ride just hunt off of it. It already doesn’t want to spin all 4 on dry ground when pulling something. I’m scared the diameter will kill the power too bad.

True tire sizes

Hey guy I need some advice. My dad has a bruin with 25x10x12 mud lights on the back. I got a tape measure out, and at 7 psi, they only measure 23 inches tall. What gives? I’m about to go pic up a 2007 350 grizzly irs that needs tires. I was gonna order 26 inchers, but if I find a tire that’s a true 25.inch, and doesn’t just say it on the side, then I think a 25 inch tire might be ok. Any advice?

Suggestion for inner tubes in tires

Hello all
First post here, thought I would go to the experts here. I’ve got a 02 Grizzly 660. Had original radial tires when I bought it, smooth as silk BUT I ride by railroad tracks and kept getting flats from old rr spikes going through the tires, would have never guessed that could happen. Ended up buying Grim Reaper tires, awesome, no more flats and MUCH better traction. Problem, slow leak on most tires, much worse in cold. No punctures, leaking at bead. I don’t want to use the tire slime inside as concerned about out of balance, especially in winter. Thought I would just have inner tubes installed in all tires and problem solved. I am using factory rims and with the placement of the stem it looks like I would need a tube with an off-set stem.
1. Has anyone else put tubes in their tires to solve bead seal problems?
2. Does anyone know of off-set stem tubes? I cannot find any in my size. 25×10 R12, 25×8 R12
3. Will normal center stem tubes work with these rims? Sure don’t look like it!
4. For full disclosure I will say I’ve d
No experience with I
The tire slime, just don’t like the idea of it in the tire. Can’t imagine it doing the valve in the stem any good either.

Thanks for the help!

Dilemma…

MI came across some used Bighorn 2.0 tires (27x9x14 and 27x11x14). They are mounted on Can Am wheels. They are off a 2015 Can Am Commander 1000. The ad says they have "63 hours" on them. I know that information is pretty useless but thought I would throw it out there. I know the OG Bighorns are much more desirable and that’s what I would rather have, but toy funds are limited at the moment… My questions are as follows:

-Will the bolt pattern on the Can Am wheels work on my Griz?

-If so, what is the "I can’t turn that down" price you would pay for them?

They are a little ways away from me so I would have 40 or 50 bucks in fuel to get them home. The seller went straight to 325 for the set when I texted. Thanks

Ordered new tires and wheels today

Has anyone had experience running the new MSA m17 elixir black wheel ?? Do these wheels hold up well. I use to run the old MSA torx back when they had them. So hope these are awesome, I do love the look.
I just ordered a set of them with bighorns mounted on them in a 26" size. (26x9x12 and 26x12x12). Bighorns are tried and true I’ve owned 2 sets before back when I had a Rhino and Prowler.

My stock tires are still brand new but I’m going to windrock for part of June Spring jam and I don’t trust those stock ones there.

So comment below, did I make a good call or not? I ordered from atvdirect where I have before.
