Bearclaw HTR’s or Blackwater EVO

Hi everyone, I’ve just purchassed a 2015 Matte Silver Grizzly 700, I’ve determined im going to get black SS 212 but undecided on what tires to get. Im stuck between the ITP Blackwater Evo’s and the Bearclaw HTR’s, I ride wooden and hard packed trails mainly but have the occasionnel mud hole (a little over the tires deep sometimes) that I do not want to take the granny trail around. I also ride about 3-4 miles of pavement to and from the trails. Wondering if anyone has any reviews on either of thèse tires that would help me make my descion. Thanks in advenue for any help!

Help choosing tire for 700 Grizz.

Be playing around with the idea of getting larger tires for mine. Thinking about some 27 or 28" Zillas on 14" rims. Just worried this might be alittle too much tire. This tire was suggested to me by a buddie that rides a lot.
We mostly ride trails with light mud and water. Don’t like water over the tires, try to keep it under the floorboards really. Ride in some sand also but I’d say 90% of the time its just dry dirt trails. To be honest to stock tires do the job most of the time. Just wanting something more aggressive and taller for when I need it.
Before I buy what other tires should I look at? To be honest my son has been on me about getting him some tires. He just came home with straight A’s. Thinking about surprising him.

Help in decision. New tires

I have a 550 stock most everything. I need new tires, I have been looking at radials, specifically the Diamond XTR’s. I am pretty tame user. I trail ride, and I hunt. I carry my little boy with me on the rides, so I am not crazy on my machine. Can anyone tell me if I am barking up the right tree on the radials? Should I be looking at anything else for what I use it for? I am on a tight, (see under 400 bucks) budget for tires, so I would appreciate your feedback and reasoning.

New Tires Caused Positive Camber

Hey all, the wife rides a 2012 Big Bear 400. I recently replaced the stock 25 inch tires with 28 inch Zillas. After putting them on, the front end shows an obvious positive camber. I know it can’t be adjusted, but is there anything that can fix it? Will a lift kit fix it?

Other posts I’ve read have mentioned damaged suspension components being the cause. I know there is no damage and there was not a camber issue prior to the new tires. Other posts just say deal with it. Just wondering if there’s a fix so I don’t keep eating through tires.

Thanks

Spacers fitment?

Hi All,

I ordered and finally received a set of spacers (1.5 inch) for my grizz however I would like to obtain some input before installing them as I am scared about fitment.

The spacers I got are typical ones. They are the round ones with studs like the XXBilletXX guy. (I would like to post a link but I don’t have that "privilege" yet it seems as I need at least 10 posts??)

When installed, but not bolted, there is a fair amount of play given the spacers’ holes are a little bigger than the wheel studs and the spacers center is larger than the bearing hub.

My main concern is about the fact that unlike OEM lug nuts the nuts provided with the spacers (and the holes in the spacers) are flat and therefore will not center themselves when nuts are tighten.

My questions for you are:

  • Do I just center them as best I can?
  • Do I need any kind of hub centric add-on to center them?
  • When hitting bump at low speed, wont they "un-center"? and eventually loosen?
  • Wont the wheels be unbalanced if the spacers are just installed without anything else?

Bottom line, it would be much appreciated of you could share your experience with similar spacers and how you installed them.

Thanks!
