Hi, new to this forum and looking for some advice about my 350 4wd Bruin. It starts and runs fine but won’t tick over for anymore than 30 or 40 seconds. Seems to be running rich as plug gets black enough, was running absolutely perfectly before and no adjustments were made to carbon anything.
Any help greatly appreciated guys.

Bike is a 2005 grizzly 660
So earlier today I needed to flip the grizzly on the rear rack to do some maintenance. I had it in park, and it flipped on the tail end just fine.
On the way down, as I was about 18 inches off the ground still in the process of lowering it, the park gear gave out. The grizz made a hard landing after that:rocker:
So, now when I put it in park, it sorta holds when I push it forward, but when I push it back, it will roll and make snapping noises.
I’m I just going to have to live without park? Is there a fix with adjusting it or something?
My clutch drum was burnt so I ordered another one but have a question about the difference between the new and old drum. The needle bearing in the old drum is held in with a circlip. The new drum doesn’t have the ring cut into it where the circlip would sit. Do I need to put the needle bearing in the new drum without the circlip or is the bearing not needed anymore?
Well I’m mad. it’s the bolt on the front left of the cylinder it’s one of the long ones. I was taking the cover off to change my valve seals. the bolt was super tight I new it was gonna happen. I dropped some we 40 in it and let it sit for a couple hours but to no avail. how bad is this? I mean is it gonna hurt the engine? how can I fix. or repair?
So a little while ago I sold my grizzly 700 so I could buy a real nice, almost new 2005 grizz 660. Its only got 500 miles and looks brand new.
Over the last couple weeks all I’ve done is take it for a lap or 2 around the neighborhood. No issues at all, ran great. Well today I got around to doing an oil change on it. After filing the oil up and attempting to start the grizz, I notice it takes 6-7 cranks to start (usally it starts first crank, regardless of hot or cold, choke or no choke), but it did start. I ran it for a minute or 2, check oil again, fill to appropriate levels, and try to start it again. This time it will not start, just cranks. I’m freaking out a little, I didn’t know what damage I had just done by not having the oil totally topped off the first time I started it (when I checked the oil it wasn’t touching the dipstick yet). I looked around a little to find a huge puddle of what I thought was oil under the machine. After smelling it, I was happy to find it was just fuel. I also descover that crap loads of fuel is pouring out some black tube at skid plate level. After tracing this tube, it goes right into the bottom of the carb. I’m guessing this is float overflow.
So anyways, whats the cure for the grizzly?
I had a ride planned for Sunday so I’m hoping to work on it tomorrow night/Saturday to get it going.

Long time lurker, first time posting. I have a 2010 700 Grizzly, I was doing my spring maintenance last night and pulled the cover off the clutches. Lo and behold, the secondary dropped a rivet causing quite a bit of damage to the sheaves and the belt (I’ll add a few pics later on). I spoke with a guy at one of the local shops here, he figures they can machine the primary sheaves to fix em up a little bit and get them usable again. But the secondary is pooched. Any of you guys have a line on good used secondary clutches anywhere? Not having a lot of luck with Google and eBay. Any help would be much appreciated!
I just put in a new wet clutch plus slugs, milled the drum, replaced the inner drum bearing and clutch housing bearing, shimmed 1.5, cleaned and regreased the clutches but noticed a rattle when accelerating in park. Is this normal? Noticed this before tearing into the wet clutch but just want to be 100% before I button her up.
hey guys my 2014 grizzly 450 is acting crazy. I loaned it out and the person got mud and water into the air box. So following things I’ve read on other threads I started with cleaning the air box, changed the air filter, changed the oil, oil filter, spark plug, drained the tank and refilled with new fuel and cleaned the carburetor. It runs a bit better than before but it sputters and cuts off. It’ll idle for a couple minutes while the choke is on then for a couple seconds with the choke off. When riding it doesn’t hold a steady RPM and kicks out white smoke from the exhaust. Any suggestions you guys have will be really appreciated
