Is it possible? I have a chance to buy a 450 transmission. Will it bolt up to a 350? Or maybe switch out the guts, I’m after the low range. It’s the same belt cover, same drive shaft, same shifter, and same connectors for reverse and neutral. I have a welder and not afraid to use it…
Shoot i just realized I will need a different shifter too.
After doing a higher speed run on my 450 it always seems to back fire on declaration. I guess that means it is run rich.ive heard that most all grizzly run rich from factory.im at sea level with a uni filter installed but it’s been doing it since I got the bike.will a exhaust tip help the backfiring a bit.seems it would reduce back pressure some.am I right?
So I know I’m not ready yet for a full on exhaust and tuner, so I’ve been looking at the 2r racing tip I believe it’s called. I’ve read that some people are saying it’s making their bikes run too lean, and backfire etc. For $30 if I don’t like the results I will just scrap it, I just don’t want to cause engine damage. Can I get some keyboard expert advice? :devil:

The griz has been sitting a few days so I went out to crank it up for a few minutes. I had the petcock off. Turned it on and walked away for 5 minutes. Came back and smelled gas. It’s leaking gas out of the drain tube on very bottom of carb. Turned petcock off and started it for a few and it’s stopped leaking. Turned petcock on and no leak. Any ideas what’s up. Maybe from not running gas out of carb after turning petcock of from before?? Stuck needle? Any ideas??
Hello, I’m new to this site and also just picked up a 05 grizzly 660. I took the engine apart (the owner ran it out of oil). I found the rod seized to crank, piston broke and cylinder scored. But I also noticed that the chain that goes from the counter balance gear to the oil pump gear is real loose. I couldn’t find much in the manual about this. so I am wondering if this is normal? Thanks for any help!
2009 grizzly 700 I am wondering the NGK spark plug # I know it is not the same plug as the 2007 and 2008 grizzly….also what size socket will fit it as I lost the spark plug wrench that came with the bike
Hello there,
had a clacking found on my Vario, i had a Yamaha Grizzly 550,so i disassembled the Vario from my Grizzly, but i found nothing.
But the shaft where the primary Vario puts on, wiggle, I can move it to
difference ways, up down, left or right.
So, i removed the clutch Housing , and have found that i can wave the clutch shaft a little to differnt ways,up,down,left ,right.
There are 6 Bolts, all 6 Bolts seems to be a little loose.
Now I do not know, if that ,has to be from the Factory or if it’s a
Malfunction.
