Just bought a used 07 special edition with 3000 km on it. First time out road for quite a while and it just died. No sputtering, backfiring or anything. The cluster goes dead and the red EPS light is on. Came on the forum and have been reading about the stator problem. This one does not have the updated cover and the plug has never even been removed…was a bugger to get it unplugged. Values on the stator seem to be 0.002, but I have to double check if my meter is set right (not that electronicly savy)
It has done it after longer riding as well as really short ride. let it sit for a minute or move the bike back and forth and it fires up again. when it dies there no power to the starter…doesn’t click or do anything…just dead.
I had some extra light strip laying around so I decided to make a panel style LED taillight. There are better ways to do this but this is the cheapest and easiest.
I took the taillight apart using the oven to loosen the glue.
I used 3/4 masking tape as a guide to cut the stock housing flat. I did that to give a better mounting surface and to sink the panel deeper into the taillight.
looking for some basic solid advice for my 2015 700 grizz,
I had a 2006 Kodiak 450 and jumped a wiring block under the seat with two inches of wire and this eliminated the diff lock sputter in forward, and I used the override button in reverse, looking for the same mod for 2015 grizzly 700 what color is the wire I need to ground out . I am looking to do this under the front panel by the battery and wiring harness, some one said it is the seafoam green wire in the six wire block under the instrument cluster. is this correct?
I have an ’11 Grizzly 550. Just recently, I am getting shocked by the left brake reservoir housing while I’m riding. It is not static, it is definitely electrical current.
I have Heat Demon grips, which are fairly new and completely intact.
Has anybody heard of a common cause for this, so I have a better idea where to look. I have already confirmed that the wiring changes made for the winch and heat demons are not the cause.
Hey guys,
I’m considering buying the 8 pack of these under body led rock lights for my grizz. I was wondering if anybody’s seen them in person? They are pretty pricey, but I was sold mostly on the magnets for easy install, and the tiny size of them. I doubt there ever going to be bumped off, or move to much with the magnets and a zapstrap right at the End of the wire, beside the led.
The ease of install I guess is what I’m getting at.
I would buy the white Led’s,
Anybody seen these in person?
Any thoughts or better options guys or gals?
My Grizzly has no spark. Ignition coil ohmed out ok, as did the Generator (Pulse coil and Source coil), kill switch and main switch also checked A-OK. Before purchase a too expensive CDI (don’t understand why the 660 is a lot less, when looks more complicated) was checking wiring. The four connector from the generator to the CDI, three of the wires (red, white, and green) all go to the four connector to the CDI, but the brown wire from the generator seems to go to the eight pin connector. Have a wiring diagram, just shows the 4 wires from the pulse and source go to the CDI, but not with what connectors. Can’t find out where the fourth wire to the four wired connector to the CDI is coming from. Wiring colors are somewhat hard to make out with 100% accuracy. Is this right? Thanks
i hooked up my rear seat with led tail/brake light, everything works as it should but today i saw that when the lights are in the off position and any brake is applied the front headlights flicker/pulse,unhook the rear tail light at the connector and the pulsing stops.with headlights on everything works like normal.
lights on with switch and brake light on when brake applied, seems like it is connected properly so i have no idea why the headlghts are doing what they are doing……dealer also has no idea why……..any ideas?
thanks!

Have a 2011 550 and was riding it for about 10 minutes, got off and started washing it. When I got back on to pull it into the garage I turn on the key and the instrument cluster lights up like normal, when i hit the starter all lights go out and it does nothing.
