Check This Out! USB Ports & Volt Meter

I was trolling on Amazon while putting together the pieces to mount a GPS I’m about to buy and I found this pretty cool looking three socket mount with a cig lighter port, volt meter and dual USB port.

I do have a concern that it’s cheap Chinese crap and don’t know if I trust the 5V output on the USB ports the way I would trust the Blue Sea name. I also wouldn’t need the cig adapter, and would probably just cut it down to just the volt meter and USB port.

Here is a link to it on Amazon:

Here is the Blue Sea USB port that I would trust (and which RedRocket recently installed):

Cooling Fan Won’t Work

My friend had my 2007 Grizzly 700 out, and it overheated during some slow riding. The temperature light came on, but the fan did not start at all. When the fan is connected to 12v it runs just fine. He checked at the temperature switch on the engine, and he is only seeing 4volts at the yellow/green wire, and nothing at the black. He still has the machine, so I haven’t been able to check it myself, but any ideas as to why I only have 4 volts at the switch? Any suggestions as to where to start checking, other than checking connections?

Replaced solenoid and won’t start!

I have a 2001 yamaha bigbear 400 4×4 I had problems with starting it. I went to turn on the key and then hit the starter button and the oil temp light came up, and didn’t click or make a peep but I can pull start it and it fires right up. So I bought a brand new solenoid and hooked it up and that wasn’t it either so NEED HELP!!!!!

Warn Provantage winch wiring routing

I’m about to do the final power lead wiring on the install and wondered where you guys routed the wires to the battery? I’m thinking of coming up on the left side (sitting on the quad) right near the battery box rather than try to route the wires up with the main harnesses that run under the gauge cluster.

Is there a preferred place to route these or just whatever makes sense?

Thanks

17″ LED Light Bar installed on ’06 Kodiak 450

Installed my new 108 watt 17 inch LED light bar this weekend along with a pair of 18 watt 4 inch LED cubes.

The light bar has thirty six 3 watt CREE LEDs, and the cubes have six 3 watt CREE LED’s each. I have the light bar pointed straight forward and the cubes pointed out slightly to the sides.

I paid $109.99 for the light bar and that included the mounting hardware, wiring harness with a decent switch and free shipping. The 4 inch cubes were $79.99 for the pair. I had to drill four small holes in my brush guard to mount the brackets. Wiring was a breeze, the only extra materials required were some water resistant wire connectors, electrical tape and some zip ties.
