LED Cube Install

Here are a few pics of the LED cubes I installed on my Grizz this weekend. I didn’t get any pictures after dark, but needless to say I really like the ability to turn them to widen the lights field of view. These are driving lights and they throw the light as far or farther than the stock lights and are way brighter. With these small cubes on I can barely tell when I flip the stock headlights on. I believe they are 4 inch cubes that are 18w and 1250 lumens. For about 75 bucks, I didn’t think it was a bad investment.

Mounting was interesting as the place where I bought my lights had clamps, much like you can buy online, but they were for large diameter stuff. So I fabbed up some pieces of flat metal and mounted them up higher on the top of the racks.

Switch Panel for Grizzly

I am wanting to use either a three or four fused switch panel on my new Grizzly, thinking about locating it in the piece of plastic between the handle bars. The other option would be a four toggle deal built into the piece of plastic.

Switch front lights
Switch backup lights
Switch for GPS
Maybe switch for light bar

Key switch question.

Hey guys, My first question here.
I own a 2014 grizzly 450 and I just put a 20inch led light bar on and a lighted rocker switch. My question is can I wire the rocker into the key switch so there is only power to the switch when key is on? When I hook it to the battery the light on the rocker is on constant. Thanks for looking guys.

02 Grizz 660 won’t start – electrical

No problems 2 days ago, today I hit the start button and hear the cylenoid for the winch click on and the display goes dead. Battery is good, when I hit the starter, I hear a click (winch cylenoid I think clicking on since its so loud), and nothing and then the display goes dead. I have no experience in any of this stuff. I can turn wrenches, but no idea on anything electrical.

My guesses would be CDI, Starter, ???. I haven’t ever had any symptoms in the past. Maybe a connection could be cleaned, but I dont know. It doesn’t crank or really do anything other than the display goes dead, then after 5-10 seconds I hear the winch cylenoid click back on (power to it again) and the display comes back on. For the heck of it I tried jumping the starter cylenoid and it does the exact same thing as if I hit the starter button. I’m guessing its not the problem.

Pretty vague here, but any initial ideas?

thanks

Location of Diode #2

Anyone know where the location of Diode #2 on a Grizzly 700 (2007 – 2013) is?

I am creating this thread as the question did not get a reply in my other thread about fixing my general electrical issue.

The wiring schematic shows a connection to the Gear Position Sensor. For the life of me I can’t seem to locate Diode 2 and the Yamaha Service Manual does not give an idea of general location for it.

Thanks.
