Lined up against a stock 1k with my 900xp that has jagged x stage 2 kit, 30" blackwaters, double down kit, dalton clutch kit.
This was on pavement and I lost by half to full length in the length of maybe 2 football fields. I don’t think it did to bad. Considering the big tires and me having 2000 miles on mine and his was pretty new.
I have found a used 2014 XP1000. It has 600 miles on it. It also has a salvage title, and according to the owner is due to theft. The thing looks great except for a small crack in one of the fenders. Im thinking I can get it for $10K – $9K. Should I walk away, or give it a look?
If I do go look at it what should I look for? I have never owned a SxS before. I am mechanically inclined, but ignorant when it comes to a rzr.

Suggestions? I already added the PRP bench seat and harnesses to the rear. looking for handling upgrades, body, motor etc that are best and have been tested tried/true…. GO!

was on its side for a few minutes (5 tops) but i noticed what looks like oil leaking out of the drivers side "washable/prefilter" area. I’m not real familiar with the overall routing/mechanics of the rzr as ive only just purchased it as my first toy and haven’t had it apart etc. Any ideas of what I should be checking/verifying prior to riding again. Side note we were moving maybe 15-20 mph when it tipped but from the flaking of the paint in the weld areas I’m gonna assume the cage is flexed/bent. the drivers side rear door is just barely not lining up correct either. any suggestions on whether the cage should be replaced or aftermarket stuff?

Seems like they must either use some really cheap ass paint on the frame or their paint prep process is extremely lacking. So far have had only a chance to get two ride in on the new machine for a total of less than 60 miles all on my own hunting ground, so it’s heavily wooded with out any major obstacles with some country gravel roads. But anyway the paint is popping off the frame in several areas near the welds, even though there has been zero contact to the area, no jumping or excessive hot dogging. Guess it’s time to break out the old rustoleum rattle can.
