I didn’t see an off topic thread so I posted here because there has been a lot of discussion on the forum about Polaris warranties. Admins can move it or delete if necessary. Just thought this info is interesting to everyone. We went down yesterday to buy a cheapo car to keep the miles off our GMC. Bought a new Camry. Nothing special just a car for cheap transportation. So here is the interesting part. The conditions of the warranty (based on past experience) have apparently changed and we had to sign an acknowledgment. The car is warrantied bumper to bumper for 36k miles or 3 years. The factory warranty only covers defects (not abuse or wear items). So I ask what if a sensor goes out and it throws a code? Answer is Toyota will evaluate that failure in their database and if it is an uncommon problem then it is a wear item or abuse and not covered! Anyone else had this issue? Of course their solution is to buy the $2500 extended warranty! Good news I or my wife do all the wrenching and wouldn’t let those apes touch it anyway. Any comments or is this a dealer or Toyota thing that needs to get known so others don’t go to this dealership or shop Toyota?

Dose the HLE rzr run the same size wheels front and rear? Thinking about running some HLE tires on my XP1K but not sure if I will need different rear wheels?

So what are the major differences of the XP 900 and the new 1000 S ?

It seems to me the XP900 has a couple of advantages. Better suspension. Wider width.

Power seem comparable. My dealer says the XP will win a drag race because of the way the S is geared.

We ride where trailing arms don’t cause any problems.

Thoughts?

i have a buddy with a 2014 900 xp, recently he blew a belt, now the new belt is slipping (napa belt). when we were changing belt i grabbed the secondary and it had about 1/8 inch of play in it. does his secondary need a rebuild? and would this cause the belt failure and new belt slippage? it has 1400 miles on it and he is yet to service the clutch, sorry if i am clueless im have a canned ham lol. he is running a 28 inch tall tire with an 8 ply tire so maybe that is contributing? thanks for any help

Hey guys. I just got back from checking out a 09 rzr 800. When i first started driving i caught a quick smell of gas. I checked everything and there were no leaks good oil, i checked the belt and the starter, no problems with any of them. I’m wondering if any of y’all would be able to pinpoint this and if its something to worry about. It was maybe for 5 seconds of smelling it.

I’ve been looking around at the various dual battery kits for my 2015 570. I came across this in a marine store.

It says it isolates two batteries but allows charging of both. It is only $48 online and I am wondering if anyone with experience with these can tell me if this would work. It’s priced a whole lot better than the $300 kits I’ve seen. In the store it’s packaged as " Add-a-battery" kit.

2012 rzr 800 standard. 2500 miles. We were out having some fun in the snow over the weekend and noticed something strange about the AWD. I would be trying to break through a decently deep drift and we would hardly be moving. My buddy said you need a diff lock in this thing cause this front wheel isnt spinning. I thought huh. mine wasn’t spinning either. When I let off the throttle, right as it almost came to a stop, you could feel the front grab, and it would go like crazy until I let off again. is this normal? I just changed the fluid in the diff after that trip and it was great. no water and still had a brown tint to it.

Hello. I am trying to find out if anyone has experience with a good service department in the las vegas nv area. Recently purchased a new XPT from ride now boulder and got the extended warranty with it. I know extended warranties are only as good as the service department submitting the claim. Does anyone have any experience with a dealer in town that won’t automatically deny a possible claim due to 30" tires and beadlocks.
