Looking for ride location recommendations for a 4-5 day trip from the midwest.

I’m just looking to get everyone’s opinions and ideas for a trip in for mid March 2016. We will be leaving out of St. Louis, MO and would like to keep the travel time under 10hrs.

We were originally thinking about going to Hatfield and McCoy but have since started to change out minds about that location. In particular, the mud we are trying to avoid.

We love the scenery as well as the technical and aren’t afraid to get use our winches! So, anything from mild to wild (less the mud) 🙂

Thanks for all the input!

Thoughts and cost of an extended warranty

I was wondering if I could purchase an extended warranty from any vendor on here that sells them and if the warranty would be usable in AZ? I have a 2016 High Lifter that I purchased from out of state and the original warranty is running out next month. I only have 50 miles on it because I purchased it about a month ago from TX. I have been doing mods to it since it arrived and haven’t had a chance to put a lot of miles on it. Would hate for something to go wrong on it with such low miles and not be covered by some sort of warranty.

Clunk sound coming from rear Rzr XPT

Ok I have read serval post about clunk coming from rear of razor but I would also like to add a note to when mine is making the noise. I have a 2016 rzr XP Turbo. Two weeks ago I broke the right rear axle probably due to driver error being on the gas to soon before landing. Dutile failure which is not covered by warranty. I replace the axle with a factory axle and increased my spring load by nearly an inch on front and back. I road this weekend and about half way through the day I started hearing a clunk after every jump. It sounds like the suspension was slamming back in the uncompressed state as soon as I was airborne. I really doubt this was the case but that’s the best description of the sound I was hearing. Got home jacked up the rear pulled pushed bounced shook and yanked on about everything hoping to find something loose. No luck. I just have this feeling the next time I ride something is going to come apart and my day is going to be shot. Any Ideas or suggestions for inspection?
And a side note I am going to reduce the spring load by half. It road like crap except for the big jumps. The rear end wanted to fly but noting else.

H.R. 1838

Representatives Sam Farr (D-CA), David Valadao (R-CA) and Jeff Denham (R-CA) sponsor H.R. 1838 which would designate 75,000 acres of Federal land in San Benito and Fresno Counties in California as the Clear Creek National Recreation Area (NRA) and would ensure access for the responsible use of off-highway vehicles (OHVs) in the area into the future as well as designate 21,000 acres as the Joaquin Rocks Wilderness (the area is currently being managed similarly to a designated wilderness area). For more information about H.R. 1838 visit Representative Farr’s site here.

H.R. 3668

H.R.3668, the California Minerals, Off-Road Recreation, and Conservation Act introduced by Representative Cook (R-CA) would, among other things, statutorily designate six important OHV areas in California – Spangler Hills, El Mirage, Stoddard Valley, Rasor, Dumont Dunes and Johnson Valley. In addition, the bill would expand El Mirage, Spangler Hills and Johnson Valley. For more information about H.R. 3668 visit Representative Cook’s site here.

Projects in the shop –

Been a busy season since sand sport.

Building out another 4 seat car.

The yellow Mazda turbo 4 seater ins the "house" car.

Some new seating , cages, clutching and of course body and doors.

And for the other forums – a slew of boat customization and upgrades to work on in December and very happy to have work to do!

Hope everyone is having a great riding season!

Stay safe!
