Guys,
I’m in the middle of putting my high clearance arms on and noticed the rubber cup is gone on one of my a arm ball joints. called the dealer and of coarse he doesn’t have them and will take 4 days. He says they are different then every other machine except the 2014 diesel rangers. Can someone help I need to ride this sunday if possible.
Thanks
Jody
I see Polaris is offering rebates on even the mighty 1000………………that absolutely means something better is coming soon. They done this in the past. Anytime they offer rebates on their flagship machine, it means they are trying to reduce inventory for something else. I may be wrong, but I don’t think so. Let’s see what happens. I’m thinking the turbo 1000 will be announced in July. Anyone else have some thoughts?
rally on the rocks 2015 is coming up soon, just checking to see if anyone is making the trek from east coast. our crew is leaving Kentucky on the 8th or 9th and will be going on I64 to I70. anyone making the trip is welcome to tag along. sure is nice to have extra hands and tools. we will have race trailer with tools and welder/torches. last year we lost a wheel bearing.
On February 18, 2015, BRC’s Don Amador, a SXS enthusiast, asked you to contact Congress because federal regulators were trying to impose their "street-oriented" view on SXS users and the industry by proposing a Rule which could have devastated SXS recreation.
BRC asked you to send an email urging your representative to cosponsor H.R. 999 — The ROV In-Depth Examination Act. Your response was awesome! That House bill has gained a lot of support.
Recently, Senators Dean Heller (R-NV) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) introduced bipartisan companion legislation (S. 1040) that would require the National Academy of Sciences to conduct a study about the appropriateness of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) moving forward with its mandatory product standards for recreational off-highway vehicles (side-by-sides).
Just as with the infamous CPSC "lead-ban" on youth motorcycles, the industry and users must depend on the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate for help regarding these unwarranted regulatory proposals.
BRC is asking its members from across the country to take time to contact their own senators using BRC’s Rapid Response Center. It is critically important for you to weigh in on this important issue so that your voice is heard. BRC is partnering with ARRA on this project and urges you to also review their alert and send in your request today. Also, feel free to call or make a personal visit to your U.S. Senator’s local office and ask them to cosponsor the bill.

Thanks in advance and, as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact BRC.

2008 Rzr 800, 1300 miles
Using about a qt per ride
Compression about 170 on both sides
Carb loaded with crap
Trying to figure out my first top end.
1. I’m unclear whether my cylinder is bad or not.
2. It has been suggested that my oil loss is my valves not piston rings? Gap in the picture is at least double spec I believe. Valves seem to be fine with no visible signs of pitting or wear. They feel smooth. Can’t tell if valve seats are bad or not?
3. I figured I prob should just replace pistons and rings since it’s apart. There is some wear on the pistons but I don’t know if that means they are bad or not. Nothing to obvious to me on sight or feel that makes me think they are bad
Hopefully the pics are good enough to see what’s going on.
Will be in the cloudcroft area
Might take the 900xp 4
Looking for roads or trails to sitesee on
Don’t want any mudslinging waterfall climbs or tree stump jumps
Will be taking parents so a gentle ride will be a 80 % must.
Can we drive a Rzr into town and get gas?
Thanks for the replies
Trying to find a better way of cleaning carbon deposits from valves and head. Currently I’m using a drill and scotch brite pad for the valves with carb cleaner. This works ok. Main prob is scotch brite scrubbing on the head is taking forever.
Any ideas on soaking the head with something that will not eat away at the aluminum, etc? Surely there is an easier way….?
I have the Polaristar warranty and have heard nothing but horror stories with the Assurant admin, mine is through Wachovia. Are they any better? Should I cancel it?
