900 xc question

does anyone own one and how do you like it? I was thinking about the 1k but was not sure if it would fit down some trails I like. Really liked the look of the xc and with the digital stuff and bigger tires and Fox shocks it looks like the next best choice.

Does anyone have one and have you had any problems or regrets. I would also like to know if I will have to pay sticker or are there deals out there?

Any info would be great!!!

Polaris Asks Off-Road Enthusiasts to Help Drive The RIDE Act into Law

Bills are now pending in the House and Senate
Minneapolis, May 8, 2015- Polaris® Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII), the leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles, today asked all off-road enthusiasts to help drive The RIDE (ROV In-Depth Examination) Act into law by visiting CPSC Ruling – Protect Your Right To Ride | Polaris Off Road Vehicles to send messages to their Representative and Senators.

After congress received more than 90,000 messages from off-road enthusiasts concerning the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) proposed mandates for off-road, side-by-side vehicles (ROVs), U.S. Representatives Mike Pompeo (R-KS) and Collin Peterson (D-MN) introduced The RIDE Act in the House of Representatives. The bill, H.R. 999, would postpone the ROV rulemaking until the CPSC’s proposals are studied and evaluated by independent organizations. In support of the bill, this past February, Polaris launched new tools to help off-road enthusiasts easily send messages urging their U.S. Representatives to co-sponsor The RIDE Act. Thanks to the off-road community’s support H.R. 999 currently has 51 bi-partisan co-sponsors.

On April 22, 2015, U.S. Senators Dean Heller (R-NV) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) introduced The RIDE Act in the Senate, bill S. 1040. Both bills will be considered by their respective Committees in the coming weeks prior to possible votes on the House and Senate floors later this year.

“Having The RIDE Act introduced in the Senate demonstrates that the off-road community’s voice is being heard, but it is important that we continue to speak out,” said Paul Vitrano, VP, global government relations for Polaris. “Polaris urges everyone to either contact their Representatives and Senators directly or use the tools we have created to send a message asking for their support of the bills.”

Moving legislation is a multi-step process and Polaris urges off-road enthusiasts to stay engaged and supportive. Each step in the process requires new action and more petitions urging support. With bills now in the House and Senate, there’s a whole new group of individuals to urge to support them. Polaris has updated CPSC Ruling – Protect Your Right To Ride | Polaris Off Road Vehicles so site visitors can click to send a letter to support both Senate bill S. 1040 and House bill H.R. 999. This is the next critical step in the effort to pass The RIDE Act into law.

The CPSC’s proposed rulemaking would mandate handling and performance capabilities of all future ROVs, and require excessive and potentially unsafe restraint systems. The RIDE Act would address concerns that the CPSC’s proposals would unnecessarily limit design freedom in the off-road industry and negatively impact off-road customers by requiring an independent study of the proposals prior to enactment. Off-road enthusiasts looking for more information about The RIDE Act can find it at https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-…house-bill/999 and https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-…+1040%22%5D%7D.

Extended Warranty

Hey guys new to the sxs world and to the forum. Im looking into buying a new bike and would like to get some thoughts on some of the extended warranties on the market. The dealership of course is trying to lead me towards the factory extended but after some research on here im not sure that is the way to go. Plus most of those threads seem older. So what are some thoughts now on it? Also has anyone used any third party warranty services? The CU im using offers a warranty through Route 66, any thoughts on it? Again any other advise on the subject would be great and thank you.

Tuff Stuff xtreme 4500 winch

Does anyone have experience with this winch? I have previously used harbor freight winches and have not had any issues however I came across this one and its seems to be a great value. It already has a synthetic cable, aluminum fairlead and wireless remote.

Need some help

I have a 13 800s. When running with no accesories on my battery is reading about 14 volts. Turn on the 30in light bar and drops 12 and under and will stall unless I give some throttle. It even sounds bad with just the front lights on. I took the battery out and put it in a 2010 model I have with the same accesories and will hold 13 volts running with all accesories on. Cannot tell if my battery is bad or something else. Any help?

Heretic studios – awesome.

Stopped in their shop after much talking to Danny in their shop and was more than taken care of. From jake on down these guys are top notch. Bought a light bar a few yrs back from them and couldn’t pass on the price for their Quattro lights (cubes) yesterday! Quality guys willing to talk to you for as long as you need with awesome products! Couldn’t believe what they have coming out for lights and their turbo builds looked amazing.

So, educate me on RZRs

I am hosting the Wells, NV UTV Rally in June. I posted the rally in several forums. I personally have a 2014 Kawasaki Teryx. The overwhelming responses to the rally have been about 90% Rzr owners.I know that Rzr dominates the market. Out here where I live and ride, there are no sand dunes or mud. We do have 1000s of miles of old two tracks and we do have amazing trail rides. My rides are almost always 100 miles or more long. I can do about 160 miles to a tank and with the gas I carry, I am good for about 250 miles. I don’t need to carry more than two, I do like to have quite a bit of storage, and fuel range is important to me. We don’t have 50" gates out here, so I prefer the stability of a 60" width.
I do like having a wet centrifugal clutch on the end minimizing belt deflection and wear. I like having a machine with fairly easy maintenance and high mounted easily serviced air filter. I don’t like a 50 mph limiter imposed by the ECM, I don’t like a UTV 2 seater to weigh 1500#. I would like more horsepower. Which Rzr would you recommend at a decent price?
