how much lift

I have a 2014 50" 800. It has stock axels and springs and I would like to know howuch lift I can safely use for mostly casual riding. Maybe which brand would be acceptable. Great forum and safe riding to all thanks.

UTV Going In Forward Gear Problem

Recently purchased a 2005 Polaris Ranger TM 650. Its not the cleanest thing to look at, but I think it has potential for just messing around the yard. Anyway, when shifting from reverse to forward, I have to push it (the UTV) a little to get it to go in gear. Dont have this problem when shifting from forward to reverse. Also, if its already in forward gear when I crank it, it works fine. Its only when shifting from reverse to forward. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks. (Wasn’t sure if this was the correct forum category to post in)

Club needs help with insurance!

The Nebraska Off Highway Vehicle Association (NOHVA) has been a positive force in creating and maintaining riding areas in Nebraska. Unfortunately a rider got hurt at a club event back in 2013. They have decided to sue and filed suit. NOHVA’s current insurance carrier has decided not to renew. All the new insurance companies they have contacted will not insure due to a pending lawsuit.

This is preventing the club from hosting or sponsoring any events.

Is there a national off road riding association? Does anybody have any ideas of where we can get insurance?

Question? Still fun if you’ve spent years in 4×4 vehicles?

Just curious how many came from spending years off-roading 4×4 trucks / Jeeps and then bought a RZR? I’m worried we’ll get bored with one pretty quick as we’ve spent the last 10 years going to Moab and Colorado, twice a year, in our Jeeps and we’re getting a little bored.

I ask because we finally got a chance to demo a 900S, at an off-road park, and we left underwhelmed. Following a trail of people, for 20 minutes, on an extremely dusty, mostly flat trail, with one long downhill section only left us covered in dirt and wishing for more.

But, I have to wonder if I wasn’t blown away because my daily is a ’14 Mustang GT, so I’m used to power, and with so many years of tearing up Moab and CO trails, (now in an Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon on 35’s), the puny demo trail just wasn’t enough to pull me out of the ‘this is way too much like our Jeep without the doors and top’ mindset?

I’m afraid we’ll buy one and then get bored a month later because we’ve done so much off-roading already.

I want to rent a 900S in WV, to do some of the Hatfield McCoy trails, but so far I haven’t found any place that rents them.

Thanks for any advice
