Drive shaft options for 2008 800’s

I am looking for a cure to the loose slip yoke phenomena. I cannot find a rear slip yoke replacement for 2008. I am able to find the 2011 yoke by it’s self but understand that it uses a different size u-joint.

The question is, does anyone know if the 2011 shaft can be used as a replacement in 2008’s? This would allow the replacement of the yoke by itself in the future.

Does anyone know of a cure for the slop that exists in the rear yokes or is that just the way they work?

CV boot small cut repair tip

I found a very small cut (1/4") on one of my front axle cv boots that was allowing grease to ooze out. Quick fix for temporary is to clean the boot rubber very well and scuff it up lightly w sand paper. Then I took some 527 glue, which is flexible, and coated the area liberally. So far after about 10 miles of riding it is still holding well. The 527 glue is available at walmart. I have fixed MANY kids toys with this glue and the clear 5 min epoxy!!

Should work for a little while at least till I can replace the boot.
