Johnson Valley Closures

Been a couple of years since we’ve been to Johnson Valley and I know that the Marine Corp expansion has been finalized since then. I thought the final plan was for them to use the new area a couple of times a year leaving the area for ORV’s the rest of the time.

We came across several new signs saying keep out, unexploded ordinance, etc. in what was formally open area. Poorly placed signage in my opinion.

So what’s the final ruling? These areas are now lost forever?

Last time out to the Cuddyback Dry Lake/Husky Memorial area all kinds of new closure signs severely limiting travel. Running out of places to go!

Ive been watching some RZR vids lately & a lot of guys look like they are wearing bike helmets or mountain climbing helmets. Does anybody no what kind is being used or use the same?

toe out question

I have a 2009 800s which I bought used. Somewhere along the line somebody must have wanted more toe out and adjusted only the drivers side tie rod, got that straigtned out but now i need to get the proper toe out. I see folks talking about 1/4" toe out . What does that mean and how is it measured ? Any advice would be great. And what advice would you say about desert riding toe out
Thanks bunches

Hal

Couple of RZR questions

Good day gentlemen. I have put a deposit on a used 2011 RZR 800, at a dealer approx 2 hrs from me. I will be trailering it home in my enclosed trailer. My door is only 67 inches high, so I assume I will have to take the roll bar off to get it in. Can you tell me exactly what tools I will need to do this, so I’m prepared. Also, to my Canadian brothers, where can I get cheaper parts, like drive belt, air filter, oils and filter? I’m sure these parts are very expensive here at the dealer. Great prices on line in the states, but with shipping and 25% on the dollar, it’s not worth it. Thanks for any help. I’m sure I will be picking your brains much more in the future. Good day eh!
