I just recently purchased my first SXS…a 2015 XP1K Fox Edition. I have been out a couple of times already and I was interested to hear the responses regarding the correct gear.
We were out on some Jeep trails…and you could say we were doing some minimal rock crawling, but I only felt I needed to be in 4W Low a couple of different times and spent most of the time in 4W High or 2W. The guys I was with had an XP1K and an AC Wildcat Sport. They said they spent the majority of the time in 4W low and that I should be there too or I am going to burn up the belt. That was first time out.
I tried 4W Low second time out and it still felt like it was way too low of a gear.
I am just wondering what your thoughts are on the subject. I may not be used to something that is able to rev this high in a low gear.
can any one give information on camping and trail riding in Oregon southern forests going to coastal dunes but would like to spend time forest riding also two 40 foot RV’S are going any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

My buddy and myself just bought a 1000 looking for a recommended trailer to haul both at once, what size are you guys using to haul both at the same time.
Is it best to haul them side ways with a shorter trailer or length wise with a narrower longer trailer?

I got the 15 clutch upgrade for the xp1000 and the belt is still good. Less than 50 miles on it. Can I keep that belt on and use the new one as a spare or does the new cover need the new belt?
