Does anyone know what the torque spec. is for the ring bolts. I looked on their website, but not finding anything about that.

Well we have just had our third round of the 2015 Polaris Australia RZR Championship and it is getting more and more fun with every round!!

The championship is 24 identical RZR 1000’s all stock except for cage, seat and harnesses going around motocross tracks in heats of 6 with a landrush start! Oh and a lot of the drivers had never driven a UTV before round one!

Hopefully with Polaris behind this the UTV racing scene will really start to grow down here!

After reading Nikals great report on his Baja ride and then following up with Johnny from UTV INC on their race report then reading Matlocks race report I got to thinking. Why don’t we start a thread with Baja tales. It seemed a lot of readers enjoyed Nikals report and I know there is a ton of wild stuff to tell about that wonderful, dangerous ,mystic place. So I would invite any and all to tell their storys of adventure good or bad. They can be funny or tragic because that is what Baja can be. As I get older even the tragic takes on humor in a dark way. So come on let hear race storys, fun rides , crashes, breaking down, almost dying and tell a story for some one who is not here to tell it anymore. Quick question… Has anybody had a winch short out to the "ON" position?

I have a KFI Stealth 4500 winch. I was out in a heavy rain, riding through some creeks and puddles, some a few feet deep. I got home and noticed the stopper doughnut and hook was missing. Turns out, the doughnut was sheared off and the hook was bound up inside the winch. The motor won’t release now. When I hit the "OUT" button, I just get the click of the relay. The "IN" button does nothing now.

My only guess is that it shorted to the "ON" position. The switch is located on the dash and out of the way, so as you can’t bump into it. I also have the remote in the glovebox. There was nothing else in there to bump into the remote.

Before I contact KFI, I’d like to know if anyone else has had this happen.
