Potential cause of mysterious RZR Fire?
Opened the engine access panel on my RZR 4 900 today and found this:
Some type of rodent decided to build a nest on top of the heat shield. Depending on the material that they use and how hot it gets, could easily lead to a fire.
Recommend everyone take a look before every ride.
Hub greasy, bearing issue?
I notice that one of my hubs and the nut seems to be consistently greasy while the other three are clean and dry. Does this sound like a bearing problem?
What Happened to the Survey/Gift Cards
I completed the survey. Gave them contact info. Nothing back about the gift card. Also the thread seems to have been deleted.
Buying used RZR out of state, registering in Ca.
Sold the Rhino last week and am looking at purchasing an XP 900 from my friend in Nevada, I live in California.
I looked at the "red" vs "green" sticker rules and there is no "3" or "C" in the eighth digit of the VIN so this means green sticker according to their literature. I even called DMV to confirm this….which they did. HOWEVER I don’t trust this state or person on the phone. I don’t want there to be some magical sticker located on the air intake or anywhere on the vehicle saying CARB approved, then not getting the green sticker because it’s not "legal" here even though the VIN says it is.
Has anyone successfully registered a used out of state UTV here in California and received a green sticker? Or red for that matter?
