I was riding at Rally on The Rocks in Moab, UT in May and I noticed several RZR with what looked like some sort of alluminum plug that replaces the plastic push plug that hold the mud extendors and other plastic body parts in place. I’m wondering what these plugs are called and where you can get them?

Just got myself a 2014 RZR 900 XP, and need to buy some a-arm guards and possibly some heavy duty/high clearance lower radius bars. I ride pasture, wooded trails, and occasional mud. What the best a-arm guards on the market? Not really worried about cost, looks like they’re $150 at most. Also, the lowers radius bars are bent (of course), and I’d like to buy some heavy duty replacements. Again, what’s the best out there? Super ATV – radius? ProArmor – a-arm guards? How about the SSS OffRoad?

Tried to pull the HL in the toy hauler & it was like 4 inches to wide. So got the idea to put car tires on the stock rims cause the outlaws stick out past the rims a few inches. I’m Thinkin this will be all I need to get it in. Now I do t know much about car tire size that’s for sure but what I would like it the tire to not be wider than the rim when aired up. What tire size would I need to accomplish that?

Brother had a noise and vibration in the front of his brand new xp 1000 so we got to checking it out and narrowed it down to the front diff with a mechanics stethoscope. Pulled it apart along with a 2014 xp1000 diff i installed on my old xp900 that sounded good. After comparing to 2 diffs found that the 2014 had .026 gap between the pinion gear and housing. The 2015 only had .010 gap. Found a shim on the 2015 diff between the pinion bearings and pinion gear. Pulled the shim off and reinstalled between the bearing and snap ring which gave it the same amount of clearance as the 2014. Put diff back together, installed it in rzr and the noise and vibration is 100 percent gone.

I’ll be headed up to silver lake for a race at wmsd next week. While up there I plan to hit the dunes a few days early in the week.

Does anyone here have experience with how strict they are about noise? My xp900 has something similar to an alba muffler, probably a little quieter. And I have a spark arrester in it. Hoping it will pass the inspection.
