Shout out for great service and Polaris warranty

We all gripe and complain here a lot, so I wanted to let everyone know about a very nice series of interactions I had recently.

I had just started a short Saturday morning ride when I heard a loud pop and then had hardly any brakes and bad sounds when I did brake. I rode slowly home, so I did not need to use them. I called my local dealer, Moto United (formerly Honda Polaris of St George) and even though service is closed on Saturday, Chad Hughes let me bring our machine in and got me written up for warranty work. I cannot do it any other time as I live during the work week in the Salt Lake area 280 miles away. The machine had just past 1000 miles and 4 months from delivery.

Monday morning Rich the service writer called me and let me know it was fairly major repairs needed and that they were ordering the parts simultaneously with submitting for warranty, in hopes of having me back out on the trails the following weekend. It was obvious this was a warranty issue as a cotter pin had been left out on assembly causing the failure, ruining the axle, rotor and several other peices. I could not have seen it as it requires pulling the wheel, and I have had no reason to do that. The warranty repair was fully approved, but just one little pin did not arrive in time for them to put it back together on Friday. No biggie as it was 112 degrees and I was sick with a sinus infection! :rm_thumbdown:

Rich called me again this Monday letting me know the part arrived and our machine is finished. No charge to us and no hassle at all. I appreciate it and will take them a couple of sixers of microbrews to show my appreciation as I pick up the machine on Friday morning.

Yes, we missed a couple of weekends of riding and it is a bit scarey as the ride before we were many miles from home and cell coverage, but overall it worked out really well.

Thanks Chad, Rich and the service department at Moto United! :clap:Thanks Polaris for not fighting what was obviously a QC issue at assemby and approving the full repair. I can’t wait to get back out for some early morning rides over the holiday weekend-I have been in withdrawal :rofl3: :ride:

Finally have her back together, thank you for all the help

Thank you for all the help as I took apart and fixed up the new to me 2010 800s. I finally had the chance to take her out on the ranch this weekend. The ranch I am on is out in the hill country of TX and is very rocky. Getting around in a fixed axle truck took forever since you had to go 10 MPH or slower to keep from getting beat to death. With the RZR the ride was so much more comfortable.

I appreciate all the help I have received from this forum, I look forward to learning more and hopefully being able to contribute with my experiences.

New Hampshire sound off!

Hey folks my 4th of July weekend plans backfired on me and I’m scrambling to find a place to ride/camp for the weekend. I know it’s a Longshot and I called a couple places in stratford hoping for cancelations with no luck. Any other places to camp on the trail systems besides connelly, big rock, and blueberry hill?
