Just picked up my 900 eps trail about a month ago. Now that we have snow we have been doing some fun snow rides. I am out there solo with one of my kids so I have tried to take some extra precautions (spare belt, 4500 lb synthetic winch, shovel, winter rated sleeping bag, etc). Anything else people bring?
Are belts prone to breaking with all 4 wheels spinning for extended periods?
I was wondering how people get themselves out of a ditch or snow bank if they go in front first. Do I need a rear mounted winch or carry a hand winch?
I’m new to the whole sxs and atv thing. Learned a ton on these forums.

With less than a month until the start of King Of the Hammers it’s time to start to get excited. Whos going? Where u camping? What are some of favorite rides/events there?
This will be my 3rd year. We have a group of 20-30 of us that all camp outside hammer town. My buddies are mostly buggy crawlers so if anyone wants to do some rides let me know.
Look forward to hopefully meeting a few new faces.
Since I bought my first razor in Jan ’15, my 2012 800S LE has been a lot of fun. It was like new when I bought it with around 360 miles on it. Here is what it looked like when I brought it home …
and here it what it looks like today … .
I know its not as new, not as fast, or not the best compared to other rides out there but it’s mine and I have had a blast from Jan ’15 to Jan ’16 adding accessories, taking the wife/family members riding, and taking it camping (just me and the rzr.) I have spent countless, enjoyable hours riding and tinkering in the garage even though I am not very mechanical or electrically minded. But thinking about it all now, one of the smartest things I did in the year 2015 was joining rzrforums.net where a gathering of good people with a common interest have helped me do things I didn’t think was possible.
I have asked for help, opinions, and many times asked for members to post pictures because I just didn’t understand. I thank you all for contributing to my 2015 fun factor. I hope it is possible to meet some of you on the trails this year.
Putting safety harnesses in a 2016 1000 xp and want to do away with factory seat belts. How is the best way to do away with rev. limiter when not using seat belt?
