4 seater vs second RZR

Got my first RZR a month ago (2009 RZR S) to see how the family would like it.

Everyone likes it (wife, daughter and son) so after a few outings I’m already trying to decide if we should change to a 4 seater so everyone can ride together or if it would be better to save up and get a second used machine. My concern is getting a 4 seater and being on the trail on our own and getting in a bad spot where we need help due to damage, getting stuck, injury, etc. Thinking if we have a second machine we should at least have one available to rely on in case of emergency.

Also wondering how the 4 seaters work on trails and hills vs 2 seaters.

Or maybe we just need friends with RZRs so we always have someone to ride with us in our future 4 seater.

Thanks in advance for input – there is a ton on knowledge on these boards, I just didn’t find this question answered when I tried to search.

Texas creek questions

We are leaving for Texas creek tomorrow and i understand that there is a bridge with a 7000 lb weight limit I have been told that many bigger motor homes including diesel pushers cross this on a regular basis. Can anybody confirm this as our tow rig is a semi pulling a 14,000 lb 5th wheel with a RZR on a trailer behind that, Gross weight is probably 33,000 lbs and 75′ long I also am curious if we will have trouble getting to and from other riding areas with this tow rig. Thanks in advance.

So you are trying to raise the ride height on your RZR because it has settled a bit since you first bought it. Or maybe you are installing your new spring kit for the weekend ride. You jack the car up and go to twist the pre-load collar in the rear down to raise your car a little and BOOM. It completely seized up on you. Not even the biggest pipe wrench in the tool box will break it loose. This is common. Your not alone. You can cut the collar off with a cut off wheel but you can’t get a new one on without completely disassembling the shock to thread it on from the top. Ouch. Not any more. Shock Therapy has new TWO piece pre-load collars to cure your problem. Once you cut your seized collar off you can bolt these two piece, hard anodized collars on and your back in business without having to send the shock out to your favorite shock guy or deal with the dealer at all. Quick, easy and long lasting. These collars address a common problem and work great.

Two piece pre-load collars……………………$49.95 per shock

2015 Matlock Racing San Quintin Baja ride

Hey guys, I am just getting caught up after a 350mile(ish) ride down the pacific coast of Baja California and thought I would start a thread on it to share some pictures, video, and general experiences! There may be some profanity, and, or adult beverages in some of the videos… lol

How I Mounted My Lightbar

Hi,

I recently added an aftermarket cage. My old light bar would not mount correctly since it is a cheap bar without the ability to pivot. I purchased a curved Totron 30" bar and searched the forum for various mounting solutions – I mean cheap mounting solutions:)

I had a couple of those Tusk flag pole mounts lying around and bolted those on the front sides of the cage. Hole to hole there was 35.5 inches across. Guess what, the light bar with brackets attached was only about 33.5 inches. I went to Ace Hardware and spent 1 hour and 4 trips in and out of the store to finally come up with a solution. Maybe not the best, but it works and is solid.

Hopefully this will help someone else or spark a better CHEAP solution.

🙂
