Best trails out west

In September a group of us from Missouri are going to run the Rubicon Trail and while we are out west we have about 8 days to wheel other trails. We are looking for scenery, and technical type trails. Would love to hear about some great trails to run. Anywhere between California and Missouri!

Advice on what to get

Hello! My wife and I both ride 300 KTM dirt bikes and were looking at getting a RZR. We rented one in Colorado around the Taylor Park area and had a blast! We rented a 60” 900 base model and it seemed to handle well, but I would like to have power steering. My main concern was the issue with 50” trail restrictions. I live in the Midwest (Missouri), but we like to travel to Colorado and Moab. How does the 50” handle? It seems it would tip easier and also has a lower ground clearance. Do you find many places that do not allow a 60”? I would guess we would be riding more technical trails and jeep roads. I don’t see us riding much in sand or open areas often. Any advice would be great! Chad

Our first ride in the xp1000!

Here we are in the first ride doing a breakin on the 1000 and nephews 170

Got stuck climbing out of a wet trail onto the dryer one because the terx they had couldn’t make it down there.
Bottomed out while I was holding my nephew back and trying to look out the side at the same time for clearance.
Also there seems to be a whine coming from the rear end when I accelerate.
Only happens between 15-20 mph
Anything below or above that no noise.
And there is a little in play in my steering wheel on the up and down motion.
I noticed a clicking noise while the steering wheel is locked in by the adjustable strut. Up and down.
The bottom mounting hole for the strut is allowing it to slide up and down slightly making this clicking everyone you steer or just hold it firmly.
I sprayed it with silicone spray, it went away but you can tell the hole is larger than the bolt going through it.
Dealer is good where I bought it, so they’ll look at it.
Or I’ll just find a larger diameter bolt or sleeve to use.
We are going out again this weekend to put some more hours on it then turn it in for the breakin service.
I’ll do my own service after that.
Can’t beat free for the breakin service!

This machine is awesome , the torque is by far leaps and bounds compared to the others riding with me. I’m still getting used to the the bottom end power.
Put it in low AWD and just crawled through mud and water on our trails.
Been raining a lot here in FL. So it was a good weekend to go. Put it in high on main grade and left them without even breaking 6000 rpms. This thing moves. I hit 8000 a few times momentarily but never stayed at a steady speed too long.
I had ran through two heat cycles of low gear varying throttle cruising around. Then gradually drove more aggressive without flooring it. By the end of the weekend I only had 8 hrs on it.
Started raining too bad for the terx to ride, so we left.

GOT BOOST ?

A Big Thank You to nFlow

I want to shout a big public THANK YOU to nFLOW Motorsports. True to their word, they arranged the pick up of my damaged core, turned it in about 10 – 14 days, and shipped it back to me. All for the flat rate they quoted me, which included shipping. :yr1:

In all, it saved me just over $2200 having them rebuild my engine as opposed to having the local service center rebuild it or purchasing a whole new engine.

I got all the plastics back on today; but, lines of thunder storms kept me from taking her out. A little rain, sure. But, rain in sheets and lightning on the prairie… I’ll pass.

Once again, a big thank you. I can’t wait to take her out riding again, after the required break-in, of course. :drive1:

:dankk2:
