I just wanted to make other members aware of the situation I have gone through in purchasing a bumper from DG offroad:
On november 18th I called an purchased a Front bumper from DG offroad. I was told it would ship out in 2 days as they were being sent to the powder coater. So a week goes by and I have heard nothing. I also noticed that I was over charged. I should have been charged $250, but was charged $269. I called to check on the status and inform them of the over charge. They told me, they would credit the card, and the bumpers got delayed and would ship out tomorrow. another week rolls by, still no bumper, still no credit. Call again, oh yes its shipping today, and we are sending a check in the box for the difference. 3 weeks after I ordered, the bumper shows up. I open the box, no check for the refund, and no hardware to mount the bumper. I call back up inform them the check was not in there, and neither was any of the hardware. They say sorry, and we will over night the hardware, and another check. 3 days go by, no package. I call again. They swear it was sent out, and give it a few days. So A full week passes, still nothing. Call again, he says if it doesn’t come today call back and they will resend it. Of course nothing shows up that day or the next day. Call back get vm, leave message. I have left 3 messages now, with no return calls. Its now January 5th, and still no response. almost 2 months since my order..
I highly recommend you do not purchase from this company. Buyer Beware!!
Alright guys need some opinions. So I am about to start on a cage build similar to this cage. Where are you placing the disconnects (bungs) for the front and rear from the main cage?
Also where are you purchasing them from or are there other options?
I’m going to be using 1.75" .095 wall.
Thanks in advanced
Anybody ever boiled their brake fluid on a long mountain descent?
This past weekend I was coming down a mountain and lost brakes for a moment. Had to pump the pedal to get it to slow down. Before I could get stopped to check it out, it happened again and I had to pump the pedal again. I’ve been down bigger hills and never had this happen. It was a butt puckering moment.
After I got it stopped to see what was wrong, I expected to see a busted brake line (etc…), but found nothing other than where some fluid had expelled from the master cylinder cap. The brakes worked fine the rest of the day and again when I took it off the trailer when I got home. I can only assume that the brakes got so hot that it boiled the brake fluid and put some air bubbles in the line, because now my pedal does feel a "little" spongey…..but they still work.
It has been freezing and I have been busy the last couple of days, so I haven’t had the chance to take off the wheels and check the pads, but the rotors are not scored or gouged. The pads might be thin (and maybe that contributed to the heat buildup), but they shouldn’t be metal to metal yet.
Anybody have any thoughts, or have you ran into this before? I’ve been into SXS’s for 10 years now and this is a first for me.
So after putting close to 2200 miles on my XP1K I was tired of getting beat up every trip. Mammoth, Barstow and Baja can be very rough. I was recommended by a few people to talk to Shock Therapy. After giving Justin a call he picked my brain on what I needed for my riding style and what I want out of my RZR. He worked with me on every aspect from valving, ride height, sway bars, etc.
So after coming to a conclusion on what I needed I made the drive down to Glamis were they had their semi out there for New Years. I brought my RZR to them in the morning. Ernie greeted me, we talked over everything. Handed him my keys and they worked their magic. Re-valved my shocks, put new springs, added cross overs, upgraded the fronts to 2.5" Walkers. My valving was already pre determined from my previous phone calls. Added front and rear sway bars along with their new Frame Supports. Mind you they did all this while I waited and had their guys install all of this for me while I waited. I was blown away and was prepared to install everything out there but they were able to do it for me. After getting it all installed Ernie worked with me on ride height and then they finalized everything.
Took the RZR down sand highway and was completely blown away. Loaded it up and headed home.
Just finished a weekend in Cal City for New Years. And am completely blown away on how my RZR XP1K now handles. It’s not even the same vehicle. I’m able to take turns, whoops, and much more at least 20-25mph faster with ease. It is so much more fun to drive. I’m able to enjoy the experience so much more.
After putting 130 miles on the new shock and sway bar setup I couldn’t be happier. My RZR is now so much more fun and enjoyable to drive. I only wish I would have done this sooner. From customer service to the overall package I will recommend everyone to shock therapy. [emoji106]🏻[emoji106]🏻[emoji106]🏻
Thank you for everything Justin, Ernie and everyone at Shock Therapy. You now have my business for life!
I have a set of LED lighted 5150 whips and am looking for replacement flags. Something like an American flag that is spotted better in dunes vs the black flags it has, I prefer something with more style than the orange ones it has as well. Any luck for replacements?
Posted this in the vendor forum yesterday but thought it’d get a bit more attention here. Anyone use the rack with a yeti roady 20? Yeti is just a bit wider than the cooler in the video. According to the Coleman website anyway.
I built a RZR XP Turbo that I think you guys might like to see. I built it for the Polaris’ Show’N Shine build off competition. The contest page launched today.
