2015 900 4 vs 2012 900 XP4

so im on the market for a 4 seater. I do not want the XP1K4 because it is too big for the riding i like to do. i am looking at buying a new or barely used 2015 900 4 and or a 2012- 2014 900 XP4. I know there are advantages and disadvantages both ways.
1. 88hp vs 75hp
2. voltage regulator issues
3. the XP4 im looking at is a 2012 with 110 miles on it. if i remember correctly 2012 had the old 60watt stator and wet sump motor.. both a plus to me.

i like the appearance of the 2015 and wanted some feedback from those with experience one which one seems better?? Price is not an issue.

Shifter Knob W/Button

Has anyone seen one or custom built one? I am looking for a momentary button to control a push-to-talk… I have seen the Polaris knob with the winch control buttons and I could make that work but I was wondering if anyone else has come up with something better.

TIA

Hayden

Shock Therapy Review

I would like to first start with a big thanks to Justin and Ernie, You guys rock!! :ok:

So back in May 2015 I sent my shocks from my S 900 in to have a stage 2 done to them thinking that I really did not want to wait 30+ days for any of the other shock guys to do them.

As was promised they were back in my hands in 8 days all shipping time included.

I installed them and we went to Moab for out first trip of the year. When I was there I was not very impressed with my new shocks and emailed Ernie and he did give me lots of help to get them adjusted and after about 3 hours I had them adjusted.
During this time I was having issues with the crossover rings and had to take one shock apart to get it adjusted but once the spring was off it was really easy.

After that I still was not fully satisfied with the ride they were much better but not quite what I was hoping for. My family’s riding season had just begun and canceling reservations for 6-12 month old camping reservations was just not going to happen. We go about every other week because my wife and I vowed we would not leave 200K worth of toys and camping gear just sitting in our driveway and only use them twice a year.

I called Shock Therapy to discuss my issue and they told me they would work with my schedule however they needed to and be able to "Make it Right".

Well almost a month had passed and I tried to get in touch with ST and I was not getting a response and I thought to myself that "This is just par for the course" and this is typical of the powersports industry and what I have come to expect from a lot of services in this industry.

So I emailed once again and I was a little upset and Justin emailed back with a very sincere apology and explained that they were having phone and internet service problems and that he was very sorry that it had happened to me especially because he was really trying to get my service right and did not want to complicate the issue any more that it had already become and this was just one bad thing after another.

So I finally got them off the car and boxed up as well as another set from another 900 that we recently picked up and just as sure as the sun will rise in the morning they did everything they promised and really went out of their way to make this one customer very satisfied.

I can say without any hesitation that if you want excellent shock service and don’t want to wait forever then Justin and Ernie will do everything in their power to get you what you want and in a very timely manner!!

I am now and always in the future a Shock Therapy customer and I will only recommend them and nothing else.
When you experience such fantastic customer service like this you will truly understand why others fail!!

Hats off to the Shock Therapists Justin and Ernie and a great company that they have built!!:clap::clap::clap:
