Has anybody tried one of these kits? It sounds like it might be more accurate than my Alba gauge, and the infrared sensor could hold up against blown belt debris better too.
Ran my new to me rzr (’13 xp4900 w/ alba stage II kit) for the first time this last weekend. On both days my buddy who was trailing me said he could smell and see a very small amount of smoke for the first 1/2 mile or so and then it went away. I had just changed the oil and cleaned / oiled my filter and oil level remained fine throughout the weekend. This only happened when the rzr was cold, first fired up in the morning, and for the first small portion of the ride. Day 1 I ran 50 miles and day 2 I ran 40 miles with absolutely no smoke or problems after that first 1/2 mile or so. Is this common when these are cold? Is this something I should worry about?
Didn’t know if I should post this in seating or suspension section, so I thought here. I want to make my 900 Trail more comfortable for my wife’s back when ridding rougher trails. Not rock crawling but trails that are jarring like washboard roads. Suspension seat or Bandit shocks?
2014 Rzr 900 4 2 regulators in 9 months
2015 Ranger Crew less than 20 hours. Stranded me 15 miles in woods while hunting. Another Voltage regulator. I was lucky enough that my hunting partner was driving past a dealer and they had one. Sat in wood for 3 hours for him to get to me.
What is hilarious is that Polaris won’t do a thing. They say there is no issues with them. Even funnier the dealer I bought it from said they never heard of this problem and they are largest dealer in Florida. Waiting to see if the handle this the right way. Oh yea bought 3 rangers from them this month. Think they give a hoot?

Just thought I would share my experience when I ordered a new set of tires from this company. I was checking out their website looking for some new tires, when I noticed they had a 40% discount on their Traxion Baha radials. I really wanted some Maxxis Bighorns, but couldn’t pass up this deal. Never again, if it seems to good to be true, it is. The tires arrived within a couple of days and looked great. I took them to a tire shop and paid $60 to have them mounted on my stock rims. When I installed them on my RZR I was very excited to go for a ride. However, I soon became very disappointed. These tires were so out of round, the RZR shook violently after 20mph. I than took them back to the tire shop to try and have them balanced. The tech told me that they were so out of round, he could not balance them, requiring 9oz of weight on one side and 6 on the other. That was just one tire, but the others were not very good either. So I had to pay another $60 to have my old tires remounted on my wheels. They inspected my wheels and stated they were fine. Not to mention with the stock Maxxis tires my RZR rides perfectly smooth. So I called ATV Tires Canada and informed them of my problem. They were nice enough to take the tires back without an issue, but informed me that I was lucky because no other company would return tires because of this issue. I didn’t feel lucky. I just spent $120, and still had old tires. Then, I was informed that they had discounted these tires because they had problems with them. I was told that several of them where out of round. I didn’t argue with them because I wanted my refund. Now I had to drive to a Fed Ex store to return the the tires. They took them back and refunded my money. I sent the company an email explaining how I didn’t appreciate being sold tires with known problems. Also, I should be compensated for the $120 dollars I spent at the tire shop, not to mention the time and fuel driving back and forth. I also explained that I still need new tires, so if they wanted to make it right, please contact me and work something out. I gave them a couple of weeks and have not heard anything. I can’t believe this is how some companies do business. They have lost me as a customer. Please be careful when ordering tires online from this company.

I’m working towards adding some new toys. But I have one unanswered question. I see alot of single track trails from my current Jeep windshield. I’m looking to move off the forestry roads and such into other territory.
Real question is do I need a 50" Trail or are the 60-65" models just as good because 50" is too wide anyway?
I plan to ride mostly around the GVRD, Squamish, Whistler type areas with occasional trips elsewhere. Unlikely to spend much time on Dunes, mostly mountain type trips.
I’m hoping some local folks will chime in and help me out.
