Camper/Toy Hauler concept – What do you think?

Hey all,
Ive got a side by side and have been lurking around this site when I need to know something and thought this would be a pretty good place to get some good feedback from like-minded people.
Ive taken some time off of work to build a new camper as I feel like there is a place for it in the market. I know people in the past have actually taken pop up campers and taken the running gear off and placed them on a flatbed. I also know that the Scorpion was a similar design. This is a similar concept but its been built from the ground up and is just about completely customizable. I also know there are similar versions with the cargo area being placed on the tongue of the trailer and that can only really haul ATV’s sideways. My camper will allow you to haul virtually any side by side on the back, and when its removed you have a nice deck and awning outside of your living quarters. This one has a stove, stainless sink, hand pump, furnace, converter, outside BBQ grill hooked up to a LP gas line. 30amp cord, fresh water tank, city inlet, stereo, awning, 110outlets, 12volt lights/fans, USB 12volt chargers, storage drawers inside and out, some are lockable. I could also add an AC unit in the front wall and an outside shower as added options. It weighs 2700 lbs and is easily towed by a half ton pickup. Its in my opinion better built than a factory would do, nice qualify wood cabinets, laminate counters, stainless sink, vinyl wood flooring. zippered windows and screen all the way around, zippered cushions and mattresses that are a comfortable 4" thick. These trailers can be built to any length, I purposely did this one to 16′ so it fits in a standard garage. Just big enough for a 2-seater side by side.
Anyways, I told myself if the build went good that I would try and sell a couple and see how it went. Id appreciate any and all feedback/criticisms you can offer.

I’d really be interested in what people out there would be willing to pay for something like this?

I am about double my initial budget on this one and need to make sure it can be done profitably before I market or price it. Thanks in advance.

South Dakota registration

I live in a state where atv’s are not tagged. Saw several rzr’s the last couple days in Colorado with South Dakota plates. Several of the plates were on vehicles from other states not South Dakota. In order to plate in South Dakota or another state that tags atv’s do you have to do the LLC thing that many motorhome owners do. Anybody with actual knowledge of this. I would like to tag my rzr’s so that we can operate them in places like Lake City Colorado and Moab Utah.

Flip Up windshield for RZR XP1K and 2015 RZR 900

Description

Polaris RZR XP1K and 2015 RZR 900 One-Piece Flip Up Windshield
Fits: 2014-15 XP1K (including the XP1K-4) and the 2015 RZR 900
Made from Hard-Coated Polycarbonate (Hard-Coated on both sides).
Adjusts to four positions; open, closed and two vented postions.
Seals along the top.
Gas Struts hold it open.
Made In Cleveland, Ohio.

This Hard Coated Windshield adjusts to four positions; open, closed, and two vented positions. The gas struts hold it open for hunting and while driving less than 5 MPH such as around the campsite etc. The two vented positions allow for airflow on warm days while still providing protection from the wind, rain and snow. The fully closed position is great for cold days. This windshield runs all the way to the top just under your stock visor keeping out the cold air. This is great option when running with a canvas cab or in the winter if you have a heater.

Polycarbonate will not easily crack like cheaper materials such as Acrylic. It is virtually unbreakable under normal conditions. The hard coating is applied to both sides so that it will not easily scratch on the trail or when cleaning. With just a little bit of care this may be the last windshield you have to buy for your buggy.

All the mounting hardware is made from Billet aluminum and steel, making it very durable.

Let’s see your cooler setups

Just got my RZR 900 4 and quickly found out that one of the most important things on a trail is the cooler. I’m making some home made lock and ride tie downs tonight. I’m just wondering how everyone is mounting their coolers along with other storage bins, gas cans, etc. Thanks for posting.

Don’t leave home without list?

Does anybody have a bare essentials list of don’t leave home without it tools for everyday use. I’m not looking for a grocery list or three week adventure kit, just the things a newer rzr owner might over look.

Last weekend I got about 5 miles from camp and for some freak reason all my lug nuts on my drivers side rear wheel came loose. I had switched back to my factory rims and tires for awhile and I never checked to see if the Polaris tool kit had a wrench to fit the lug nuts, so I found out the hard way that it does not. After limping and hand tightening my lug nuts every 150 yards or so I finally made it back to camp 1 1/2 hours later. Not looking for anymore surprise so I am currently putting together a tool kit of my own to leave in the RZR permanently and would appreciate any advice on what should be in there and what is not needed. I really don’t want to carry the whole tool shed if I only need a few items to cover all of my needs. I am sure some of the more experienced riders have run into similar situations and would like to share their lessons learned.

Thanks

DNR and 3 people in RZR

I am considering a "bump" seat for my 2up RZR trail.

I believe it is technically illegal In Minnesota.

Anyone ever been stopped by dnr in a state where it’s illegal ?

What did / will / can they do ?

I could see this going from "don’t do it again" to child protective services being called and impounded.
