Good Riddens Arctic Cat, I got a RZR Turbo Now!

Well it’s been a tough 4 years for me with the 2012 wildcat. Not knowing much about UTVs my wife liked the wildcat. So we bought it.. I fell in love with the suspension an the ride at Dumont,ca, I became an addict! So here came the upgrades. More power I needed, AC didn’t do there proper testing of the product so here came not only up grades but the repairs. Constant failure of rear end gearbox bearings, bent A-Arms, sand in the airbox. I chipped the wildcat and put the Rod thru the block… Ya AC warrantied it. I was lucky. Finally I got smart an put the STM dry clutch conversion in it, re fabricated the front A-Arms, added a custom air filter for sand dunes, and fixed the profusive oil leak that 3 visits to the dealer would not fix correctly. When you want it done right you just have to do it yourself… So after 4 years last week I visited Oceano dunes and my cat ran like a dream… Finally after 4 years.. No bending A-arms, no oil leak, an plenty of power for Oceano. The only 1 problem is left .. Reliability! Once I go to Dumont after 2-3 trips I’ll be replacing more bearings, possible fuel pump or starter, or maybe a cv joint. So I decided to make the switch. 2016 Rzr Turbo! The first run I took on this unit was a shocker for me. The powerband and torque could almost be double of my wildcat. Wow! Dumont, Ca will be the true test for the Turbo. Let’s see how it does. October is not far away. Keep you posted.

Happy with the Suspention Seat Bracket

I purchased the Suspension Seat Bracket from Desert Molding Concepts. I heard a few good things about it, but my expectations were low. The picture of it looked kind of cheap. I’m thinking, how can these little springs hold my fat a**. I ordered the kit and after I saw it in person, I still had my doubts. I installed it on both seats. Both myself and my wife could not believe how well it works. Those little springs just do a great job of dampening what you feel on the seat. It did raise the seat up a little, but my view is still fine and I’m 6′ 1". I’m sure my wife likes the extra seat height. Recently I added a 2" lift and I know it stiffened my suspension up. I have not had a chance to ride since the lift kit, but hopping these little springs help keep my ride soft:) It just suprised me how something so simple really worked. I’m still not sure how those little springs support me, but it makes me feel skinnier and makes my RZR ride smoother. Double win!
