garmin etrex 30x

We are planning a trip to the black hills next month and are wondering if anybody has used the garmin etrex 30x to download that maps up there. I know on the list the Etrex 30 is capatible. So I would assume the the 30x is

New some opinions

I live in western Pa and am looking to buy a RZR. My perdicament is wheather to buy a 2 seater with a center jump seat or 4 seater. I have a 2 year old and my wife that would ride with me most of the time. How cramped is the cockpit with a jump seat?

UTVs and retirement

I retired the first of the year 2013 and cannot imagine what life I would have without my 570. I had tried to buy property in NV before my retirement to have an established place to live but the condition of my father and the logistics of moving prevented that, and a life of doing nothing but fishing really didn’t appeal to me. But I needed something to do and since I have a history of racing Motocross and riding off road I felt a motorcycle was the answer.
Ummm no. Yes I could still ride but was so afraid of falling, and since my balance aint what it used to be, I needed to find something different. My thanks to the guys who had RZRs out where I was riding and I thought I would look into it. But after a trip to a local dealer and seeing the price tag of a 900XP, I got discouraged. Could not afford that on my pension, but I did some research and saw the 570 was affordable so I went to the dealer, who btw had one and I made an offer. He countered the offer and I accepted.
Anyway with my experience racing motorcycles, karts and dirt track ovals in cars, I was hoping this would fill my need for speed and off road riding and by god it did!
For the past almost 3 years I have got so much enjoyment of the riding and capabilities of the 570. I have met so many new friends, rode some fantastic places like Moab and many others in SoCal, and have had the time of my life.
And so many of my new friends are retired like me so we have a common bond of being old farts who still kick ass.
Just because you get old doesn’t mean you need a retirement home. My retirement home is in my RZR ad when I cant drive any more……….put a bullet in me!

Switch Lighting aka lights in the switches

Has anyone added switches for light bars and such? What do you do to make the light inside the switch work with the headlights. I want to have the switches light up when I turn on the headlights. There is one open spot in the light switch connector. Is that the spot I want to use to power the lights in the other switches? the dealer and the factory have no clue. You would think someone that makes and sells them would know something that seems this simple.

Polaris Foundation Awards $300,000 to Support Creation of New Apartment Complex

Project Will Increase Housing Available for Area’s Growing Workforce

MEDINA, Minn. (Sept. 9, 2015) – The Polaris Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Polaris Industries Inc., has provided a grant of $300,000 to help construct Tamarack Place, a 41-unit apartment building in Roseau, Minnesota, the birthplace of Polaris and home to a major Polaris engineering and manufacturing center. Scheduled to open in the summer of 2016, the new apartment complex will expand the housing available for the growing workforce in Roseau County.

The Polaris Foundation awarded the grant to the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, which is working in conjunction with the Roseau County Workforce Housing Program (RCWHP) on Tamarack Place. The mission of the RCWHP is to increase housing available in the county so employers such as Polaris can continue to attract and retain top talent.

“A primary mission of the Polaris Foundation is Community Development in areas where Polaris has facilities and where our employees work, live, and play,” said Stacy Bogart, President of the Polaris Foundation. “With Tamarack Place, the Polaris Foundation hopes to enhance the quality of life in Roseau and ensure the city has a vibrant selection of premium residential opportunities for a growing workforce.”

A groundbreaking that signaled the start of construction was held Friday, August 28, at the site of Tamarack Place, 1105 Third Ave. S.W. in Roseau. County and city officials participated in the groundbreaking, along with leadership from the Polaris facility in Roseau.

Polaris Industries Inc. was incorporated in Roseau in 1954, and the company has continually operated manufacturing facilities there ever since. Polaris has expanded and upgraded its Roseau operations continually in the past 61 years, and today the company’s Roseau facilities house engineering and manufacturing for multiple product lines.

Tamarack Place will include one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with amenities such as in-unit washer/dryers, central heating/cooling, elevator service, and an outdoor recreation area. The building was designed under the sustainable guidelines of Minnesota Green Communities, and it will be a smoke-free building.

The Tamarack Place project is being developed by Sand Companies, Inc., of Waite Park, Minnesota, in partnership with Polaris, Citizens State Bank, Border State Bank, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, the City of Roseau, and Minnesota Equity Fund.
