LED lighting suggestions.BIG PRICE DIFFERENTIALS

Looking for LED light bar suggestions. I ride in Northeast Pennsylvania, Not to much wide open trails mostly low hanging veg. and tree branches, some open road, and not to much night riding but when we do I see the need for the LED top roll bar mounted light bar.Any how WOW !!!! the sticker shock Ive seen prices from $1600 to $100. for the length bar around 24". So I’m somewhat a believer in "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" but that"s a BIG difference ?? So I’m looking for a quality product that fits my need and wont brake the bank.

Wheel Center Caps Keep Falling Off

I have a set of STI HD3 wheels and keep losing the center caps. They are only 5 bucks to replace, but I lose one on about every ride. Is there a more durable solution? These are super cheap plastic and break easily. Anytime you drop into a large rut there’s a good chance you broke/lost a center cap. They also stick out kind of far. I would prefer just about anything that stays in place and does not stick out so far.

Help me choose between some used RZR machines

Okay, I have decided to get a 50" RZR so I will be able to use it on ATV trails as well as other roads out west.

I’ve had a 2007 Ranger XP for the last 4 years and it was a good machine, but being 60" kept it out of quite a few places I wanted to go. I listed it for sale on Craigslist last Sunday night and I watched it drive off with the new owner before noon on Monday.

I’ve been looking hard at used RZRs all over Texas but there aren’t a lot of 50" models since there aren’t many 50" trails around here. I’ll be hauling it to Montana, Wyoming, etc. to use it.

With that long introduction, here’s where I’m at. I’m looking really hard at 3 different machines, all about a 2 hour drive away and of course in 3 different directions.

The first is a 2010 800 LE black that has a roof, winch, bumper guard, rock sliders, new 800S seats, and a 2" lift. It has 1,800 miles on it and from the pictures and talking with the guy it is in good condition. My biggest concern is that with the lift and some new tires it is over 50" wide. More like 54". This will fit through some 50" gates, but not through some of them. This guy sounds like he will take $6,500 for it. Here’s a link to the craigslist ad – 2010 Polaris RZR 800

The second is also a 2010 800 LE in gold. It has a roof, some storage bags, and a winch. It doesn’t have a lift and is 50". It has more miles (3,300) but sounds like it has already had some maintenance taken care of with replacing some bushings, springs, etc. Not sure I can get this guy lower than $6,800. Being at 50" without having to worry about it is nice, but at the same time, the 2" lift would get me more clearance if I can fit through the gate. Also I don’t really like the gold color. 2010 Polaris RZR 800 LE

The last one is something I wouldn’t have considered, but reading this forum there is a long thread discussing the benefits of the 570 vs the 800 and there is a 2013 570 for sale that is barely used. 140 miles on it. Of course he wants more for it, I think he would take $8,500. It has a lot of "blingy" options, but doesn’t have a winch so I think that would be a must buy when I got it. The other options are nice, but not sure I would buy them if I was starting from scratch. Most of my intended riding will be on trails at low speed so it sounds like the 570 wouldn’t be a bad option. He has upgraded the wheels and it is 52" wide, but he still has the stock wheels so it would be easy to switch back if I ran into some trails with some really tight gates. Here is the link to his ad – http://odessa.craigslist.org/snw/5224159159.html

Of course all things being equal I would love to buy a 2016 900 trail EPS machine, but I can’t justify it for the 2 or 3 times a year I’m going to have this up in the mountains riding trails. I do live on 60 acres and can ride around the house, but I only put 300 miles on my Ranger in the 4+ years I owned it.

I can afford any of the 3 machines I listed and they all seem like decent deals to me. All seem to have pros and cons. I would like to pick something up to take hunting with my toward the end of next month so I don’t think I have too much time to pick and choose.

Thanks for any input you can give me to help make my decision.

Tools on trail

okay gang asking for help in putting together the tools, equipment need to,take with me on trail rides in Colorado. I just installed a polaris tire carrier. What jack will, work…the rear isnt bad to jack up, but the front is tuff.
This forum has been great for information and looking forward to hearing feedback.

I don’t think this is a good idea!!!

I don’t think someone thought this through. I can see a bunch of kids hospitalized, and probably some adults too, because they were sitting around smelling exhaust fumes that smelled like mint or strawberry. Not sure if this has been out awhile and it is new to Polaris or if they were the first ones to come up with toxic exhaust fumes that smell good.

Found this in the new 2016 RZR catalogue.
