Carb help

Post in 170 forum didn’t get an answer. Kids are wanting to ride. On the carb there are two lines one comes from the fuel pump the other appears to be a BAC line I can not figure out where it goes to. When I suck on it the 170 runs fine when I don’t it won’t run. Any help please. The manuals only show efi set ups.

first full trail ride

Hey all I just picked up a 2015 polaris rzr 900 trail eps! This weekend I plan to go out to lost trails atv park with a few friends. My other friends have a grizzly 700 and a 350 (i forget what brand). Anyways, it is brand new (maybe an hour on it) as am I. I want to pack for this trip of approx 8 hours on the trails.
Cooler with assorted food and drink.
FOR SAFETY/ SPARE TOOLS
– can of fix a flat
-12volt air compressor
– assorted spare tools to do basic stuff
– zip ties
– duct and electrical tape
-5 gallon gas can
-tow strap
-rope
-owners manual
-towels
– change of clothes
This is not a long excursion or far from the parking lot (only 8 hours of riding) and it is at Lost Trails ATV park. I know many say bring a spare belt but the machine is so new and I have to see if I can even get one in before friday
Thank you,
Ryan Tombs

Full door install with vinyl liner

I purchase a set of utv Giant doors after selling my lower door inserts.
The inserts did the job well but I decided to go with the full doors for the higher profile and better look.

The price was very appealing to me and feel the fit is pretty good. I would say it’s not a 100% but the price reflect the product, I wasn’t interested in sinking to much money in doors as there is much better things to spend money on a rzr!

I also vinyl lined the doors before final install. I have an extra set since I bought to much material.
It would fix 2 seater 14-16 using utvgiant doors. (or the 2 front doors on a 4seater, you’d have to buy more material to finish the rears)
pm if interested.

I used marine grade black vinyl, so I is water resistant, glued it using 3m spray adhesive. I love the way the doors sound solid and would eliminate all potential skin vibration.

Steering wheeling help!!!!

So I have been looking for steering wheels for my XP1K. I have found 2 that I like but I have no idea who makes them or any knowledge about them. They are both 3 bolt steering wheels. One is on Tim Cameron’s showtime 2.0 the other steering wheel is on multiple rock bouncers. Probably the most common one I have seen on rock bouncers. The pictures I have are not very good but the best I can find. PLEASE HELP ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!Attachment 145041Attachment 145042

RZR XP900 & XP1000 wheel studs/lugs… stock & STI HD5… etc.

Sorry if this has been asked covered, I did some searching but didn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

So here’s the deal:

– I bought 14" STI HD5s for my XP900 a while back, they have 30" Mongrels on them. I checked STI’s site and it appears as though they don’t have different 4x156mm offerings for different wheel stud sizes. I mic’ed them and the opening is ~12.75mm

First Q: these STI HD5s should be fine for my XP1000 or XP Turbo, correct?

– I have 1.5" UTV Inc wheel spacers: UTV INC 1½" POLARIS RANGER RZR RZR-S RZR-4 RZR-XP 900 WHEEL SPACERS – PAIR These have XP900 size wheel studs, but I ran them with the STI HD5s no issues.

Second Q: these should both correct for the different XP1000 offset (which was the point of them in the first place w/ the HD5s, in fact they gave me .5" more width per side than stock) and because they have a hub-centric ring there should be no issue there with the XP1000 wheels, correct?

– Finally, I had to run some aftermarket lugs due to the small lug-opening on the HD5s. They seem to have a smaller overall diameter (which, of course, was the point) and as such the taper seats very deep in the factory XP1000 wheels.

Third Q: I imagine factory XP900 lugs would be better suited to the combo of the XP1000 wheels on Factory UTV 1.5" XP900 spacers? Somemthing like this: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p…ut+polaris+rzr Better yet is there an aftermarket lug nut for the XP900 9.525mm studs that have a larger overall diameter on the tapered section intended for running 1000 wheels on 900.

Sorry for all the Qs.

The old dust in the cab dilema

Could use some ideas on this one.

I have a 2008 rzr 800 with half windshield and rear mesh window. Virtually no dust in cab.

Now I just got a 2012 rzr 800, put the same windshield and rear mesh window on and have hordes and hordes of dust in the cab. It almost makes me not want to ride as my entire body from head to toe is caked almost immediately.

I also tried it with a full windshield and mesh rear screen with same dust problem.

Even stranger is my muddy also has a 2012 rzr 800 with NO windshield in front or rear, has doors. He gets almost no dust in the cab. In fact he trails me and gets less dust than me by far.

Can’t figure out what is so different between my 08 and 12 machines that is causing all my dust. The 08 does have rock sliders but wouldn’t think that was relevant?

I’ve always though you either run no front/rear window or you run front and rear to control the dust. Lifting the front windshield up an inch or two as some suggest does nothing.

Appreciate the input.
