I need your help.
I am in the market for a expensive new (to me) toy. My budget is between 10-12K. I am an aggressive driver but tired of the recovery time as my body ages from dirt bike crashes.
So I have a few questions.
What is the difference between the RZR models?
Is a 900 really worth 4-5K more than a 800?
What mileage/hrs should I keep under? When do problems start?
Is 3000 miles too many?
Is their a Wikipedia type, simple explanation, between the models?
HP/TQ, suspension, problems, EFI, power steering ??
800, 800s, 900, 900XP, 900s ??
I am very anxious, this is the most expensive toy I’ve bought. The more information I have, the better dissension I can make.
I posted this here so it would get more views and because my question can apply to any prostar engine, ok so I installed the bmp mechanical came chain tensioner, the install was simple enough but the question I have is getting it tensioned good, I put the valve cover back on and everything because there was no real good way to check the chains tension there i then ran it and tightened to what felt good to me. There’s no good torque spec or anything of what to tighten the chain too off the tensioner, does anyone have any tricks or tips for getting a mechanical tensioner set just right ? I don’t hear a rattle and I don’t hear a whine which is what everything I’ve read said to check for but that just didn’t seem real accurate to me….. Am I being paranoid ?

Went to pick up a new 900 trail and my dealer advised me to wait till March as this is when the new programs come out. He didn’t know what they would be. Has anybody else heard anything on what they may be ?
