Hit a rock!!

My first rzr carnage …. Out drove my talent :rofl3:… Racing down a wash and came around a corner to fast and slid into a rock bigger then my rzr. Slammed on the brakes but was to little to late. Looking for a passenger side A arm now. Might just buy some high clearance ones…Rzr still got me home tho:ok:

Too dusty to ride – help !!

I have a 2014 Trail 900 I just moved from Arizona to Bend, Oregon…there are thousands of miles of forest service and old logging roads to ride…..problem is the dirt here is like talcum powder and there is so much dust in the cab I can’t see at times – it goes right through goggles and it choking everything.

I am running heavy lugged MAXXIS tires but don’t need them for traction – the Jeeps with highway tires do great…so could these lugged tires be part of the problem – what if I went to a smoother tire.

I am also running a windshield as the mornings even in the summer can be below freezing.

I really appreciate anyone’s help – I don’t want to park my RZR

Roll over diagnosis/repair opinions

Hello all. Doug Here. New member. New 2015 RZR 900 EPS Trail owner.

A little background: 47, ex mx racer, mechanically inclined, new to side by sides.

My son laid my 2 week old RZR on its passenger side over the weekend. I did not witness. He claims fairly low speed, turned to tight, caught edge, laid on side, didn’t slam…I tend to believe that as I know where it happened, there was a female passenger to confirm, no injuries, and the only cosmetic damage was a scratch on passenger side door. He up righted it himself (24 and 200 lbs. of muscle). Runs/drives fine…

Last night I got the chance to look more closely. The RZR leans to the right. The driver’s side is about 1/4"-1/2" lower front and back depending on where or what you measure from. I can honestly say I don’t if it was like that or from the roll as I never looked closely before (although I suspect it is from roll). The only other thing I noticed visually is that the driver’s side rear wheel appears to lean in slightly at bottom, maybe 1/4". One last note, though I suspect unrelated, the outer rear drivers side cv boot is torn. My other son was out on a 25 mile trail ride prior and I suspect it tore then.

My plans are this…Put on jack stands, remove wheels, replace torn cv boot, measure everything to find out what is bent and replace to fix. If I can’t find anything obvious, I plan to reassemble and swap shocks to opposite sides. If still, out of whack, may upgrade shocks and/or a arms as I was considering anyway. If still leans, probably just going to forget it, drive it, watch for unusual wear.

If the frame is bent, 2 things come to mind: crap!!! and if what he said happened is accurate (I believe it is, he’s an Army officer and honest), the frame is weak and my confidence in the vehicle is compromised.

I know this is just a process of elimination. Any and all suggestions and lessons from experience is appreciated.

Sorry for the long post, just tried to give all info up front.

Thanks.

Ps. unbolted front and rear sway bars, no change. Tire pressures all match.

More problems in certain locals?

Kinda curious if owners in certain areas of the US have more problems than other areas. I know the midwest is muddy. The east coast has some narrow rocky trails. Utah has rock climbing and desert and So cal and Baja have deserts. I here of very few breaks in the desert unless you roll or hit a rock. Not being from the other listed areas I have no idea. Anyone with opinions? Maybe its not a bad machine just a bad area:rofl3: please chime in.

Probox top roof selection help

I am getting a 2016 polaris ranger crew cab

I am going to be purchasing a probox top through the dealership and I cannot decide between those two options

900PRC

It’s between package 6 and package 12

Package 6 — has 40" front light bar were as the package 12 has 50" light bar

Package 12 — 4 – 6×9 speakers, 12" sub

Package 6 — the big difference is this package comes with more soeakers but no sub. This has 4 — 6.5" and 4 — 6×9’s….the led lights on the side and front are smaller than package 12

Which package is better? Do I need a sub? Will I notice the difference in light bar sizes?
I don’t like slot of big bass but I do like nice crisp sound
