So I’ve looked at a few of the iPad mini setups people were running, but I didn’t like the ones that you had to fabricate a mount, and I wanted something that would allow me to open the center console. I also wanted to use "off the shelf" components to put something together, and be able to remove my iPad from the RZR to use elsewhere. I have an amplifier with built in Bluetooth so I can stream my music from the iPad to the amplifier without having to plug in any cables. Here’s what I came up with:
Equipment list:
iPad Mini 3 64GB with Cellular from AT&T (Certified Like New and only $10 a month on a 2 year contract): $79.99
LifeProof Nuud Case for Retina iPad: $70.00 at Best Buy on Clearance
LifeProof Mounting Cradle with AMPS mounting holes: $34.99
Zagg InvisibleShield HD Screen protector (to protect from scratches from dirt and dust): $29.99
Panavise 685-PM AMPS compatible Mount: $16.99
(2) Fender Washers for mounting the Panavise Mount through the clear plastic cover on Center Console: (Already had these.)
Using the MotionX GPS software, I can get real-time GPS coordinates and record my trip, as well as control the music from my iPad streamed to the amplifier in the same app.
Hey guys I need some help my brother just bought a brand new short block for his 2011 900 xp. We put it all together and in machine went to fire it and the starter just clicks so we took starter out and reaching finger in there the gear does not turn in either direction. Took cover off and everything works fine. Put cover back on and no movement again. After a couple times of this frustrating act at 1 in the morning we gave up thinking that we were missing something however I have looked at microphiche and there doesn’t appear to be any spacers or anything on the shaft that just pinches between the case and cover. It seams to me that when the case was made they did not make enough clearance and the gear itself is getting pinched in between case and cover. Anyone have this issue or have any suggestions. Thanks

So I’m going to clutch my RZR for running in the sand. Question though, when I head to Moab or some other high elevation destination where the pace will be slower will I need to put the stock springs back in? Or buy different ones?
Pulled the driveshaft out and beat out the front two small u joints and rear big u joint. Needing greasable u joint replacment. Ive searched everywhere and have only heard of people getting 338 napa joints and them not working! I wont someone with hands on experiece to tell me exactly what i need. Thanks for everyones help.
I have finished the install of the + 8 kit from Reflex .I installed it on my 2015 Fox 1000 . With Shock Therapy’s upgraded shock work .
Here’s some info on the kit .
Reflex was founded by a group of engineers with over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. The team mission was to develop Suspension Widening KIT that reinforces the chassis. The result is a patent (Application number: US 13/956,670) and new generation of Suspension Widening KIT.
The basic idea behind Reflex KIT is a set frame brackets made of ST52 steel installed on to the UTV chassis, the frame brackets are in charge for the increased 8 inch width while in a standard long travel KITs (not Reflex), longer A- arms replaces the OEM A-arms, the existence of longer A-Arms weaken the chassis by up to 30% and that is the main root cause for damaging the vehicle. Reflex is the only KIT available in the market that reinforces the chassis by over 150% while standard KITs weaken the chassis by 30%.
Reflex engineers mission was also to optimize between driver safety, vehicle performance and cost. The result is that no welding required during assembly, additional 8 inch added to the vehicle width – that fact reduces body roll by 80%, no shocks and A-Arms needs to be replaced while a standard Long Travel KIT requires shocks replacement that costs few thousand dollars.
The great thing about Reflex is that UTV owners can enjoy better safety, uncompromised performance of drifts & rock crawling, zero maintenance for much less money – simply best of all worlds!
This Kit makes a 2 seater go over the whoops like a long wheel base 4 seater .You can drift the car at speed in the corners ,and never get it up on 2 wheels .Come out of off camber corners with ease .As expected it adds a tremendous amount of stability to the car . but it will push in the soft corners if you get off the gas . Keep your foot in the gas and it will behave just great .
It is a great alternative to a costly long travel kit .And I found with My shock set up it works perfect .And this kit is stout !
Lots more miles to put on the kit Stay tuned for more updates . 🙂
Is it only the water / mud riders that have this problem? I Doubt it but I bet 80% are water mud highlift guys don’t get me wrong guys I love crossing a stream and trying to go up the bank with the best of em but it’s really hard on the moving components .. IE bushings bearings etc. DUE to oil grease being washed out . My Question to all is are desert / dune people having that problem ? Not as much maybe 10% are from aggressive driving as well as offset wheels and long travel .. ??I love long travel. water riding and general fast driving .a little off topic but driving fast in the dunes is not point and shoot in the easiest direction .
