What is the RIDE Act?

Someone sent me a link about Polaris pushing for the RIDE Act and said its about some act to reserve riding areas for OHV use.

I must be missing something because all I can find is stuff about the stability specifically of SXS. There is even a part that specifies steering wheel, floor gas pedal/brake, and non straddle seating.

So what is the RIDE Act?

Here is the article I found on the Act and the thing Polaris is putting out.

kids quads similar to the 80cc badger

hey guys. having a tough time finding different options for my girlfriends daughter. the first quad she tried was a family member’s grizzly 125. that was too big, lacked a foot brake, and it lacked engine braking. freewheeling is not good for a kid. nor is not having a foot brake.

the next quad she tried was this past weekend. it was an older yamaha badger. it was nearly perfect. 3 speed, which i like cause i can keep her in first gear till she gets the hang of it. and it has a foot brake. its sized right too. the only thing i dont like about it is the lack of suspension in the front. its not a deal breaker, but its pretty lame. the lack of headlight is lame too, but easily resolved with an led cube.

anyways, does anyone have experience with this quad? i can find them pretty regularly for about $800 on craigslist. are there any other options out there? its really hard to look at pictures or videos of quads online and scale what size they are. i was thinking the raptor 80cc would be suitable, but it looks considerably bigger.

??POLLS??

Are there polls in this forum? The last on I saw was "What color would you like for the Grizzly Central decals?" (BTW, where do you get those decals)?

That poll has been up since I joined…….not that I am this gun hoe poll type of guy but a poll every now and then is interesting.

Thanks,

Rob

2″ lift on a 2014 Grizzly 700

I am looking to put a 2" lift on my 2014 grizzly. I have 28" Outlaw 2’s on it right now. No power mods. I am not crazy with the throttle but do a fair bit of mud riding. The threads on here have already told me what brand of lift I want but I have a few questions about what I can expect from a lift. First question is about axels. The 2014 axels are longer and come stock with less clearance and less angle on the axels then the 2013’s. Has anyone had any experience with lifting the 2014’s? I am thinking there shouldn’t be as much stress on the axels as there would be on the 2013’s. Also, does the lift cause the tires to go out of alignment? is there a way to make them straight again after? Thanks in advance for any help

idle mixture screw ?? location

Hey guys, I’ve been looking (doing searches here) trying to find the location of the idle mixture screw on this ’03 Grizzly 660- of all the posts here that I’ve found the words "idle mixture adjustment screw" – no where can I find where it tells me the location on the carb itself.

The bike has been sitting for the past 5-6 years, I took the carb and cleaned it out I’m confident it’s good and clean –
The qud runs great over top the idle circuit. It’s starving when I bring it down to idle rpm.

Can anyone explain to me where I would find the screw? I need to add more fuel at idle.

I’m super curious to know how many turns out the screw is. I bet it’s tight.

Thanks GUYS.
