Everyone Be Safe Tonight!!!

Happy New Year’s Everyone.

Please be safe tonight as there is a lot more riding and modding to do. :gcrules:

The Rocket’s… well we are just going to hang out at home. If I run into a wall or trip on the stairs that is just my own damn fault. Besides, planning to go on a ride early tomorrow morning so I can’t get to obliterated… maybe

I’m hoping to have some pictures and maybe some video after tomorrow. Should be about 10 vehicles or more, mostly Rzrs. But I’ve done some rides with them before and they are good folks to hang out with. Gonna be cold, single digits when we arrive at the staging area but no snow forecasted.

Very Happy With My 2016 Grizzly + VIDEO

Hey Guys!

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. It’s been a good one here. Had the grizzly out yesterday for the first real ride since break in. Now that I can really pound on it, I can say I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

I put my stock spark arrester back on for this ride. The 2R drones pretty bad but I can honestly say, the 2R tip did improve throttle response. I may modify the stock spark arrester to mate to the 2R tip for a sort of hybrid tip to improve flow, but reduce some of the drone. I’m patiently awaiting the fuel programmer from EHS to take full advantage of an exhaust mod.

I left my factory skid plates off for this ride. I was unimpressed with the amount of mud and sand lodged in them on my last ride. What a pain to clean. But I think this had a negative effect in deep ruts. It seemed the frame got hung up more this time.

I can’t believe it, but I neglected to get a picture of me towing a 2014 Can-Am Outlander 1000 Max. (Electrical issues and water in clutch case) The same bike had new 26" Maxxis Zillas. I was thinking of installing 27 or 28" Zillas on my bike but I can’t say I was impressed with the performance on his bike. I know, bigger bike or driver error. Im looking for the perfect mud/snow/rock tire. Any suggestions?

The rear storage came open while flying down the trail causing me to lose very important cargo…BEER! I foresee a latch modification on this forum. Seems like a common problem.

Overall, the new grizzly is a dream to ride. Power is adequate. Handling is great. More comfortable than a Can-Am. Most importantly, I have confidence in it’s abilities and reliability.

I started a YouTube channel to showcase the 2016 model. Other than Pohlhammer, there’s not many people posting real videos. I’m not a pro rider or film maker so go easy on me. The videos are shot with my Zeal Optics HD Camera Goggle. I’ll continue to upload videos so be sure to subscribe if you’re interested. Below is a link from yesterday. I have some others uploaded so check them out too.

Happy New Year!

Pellet burning stove questions

I’m considering getting a pellet stove for my garage.
It’s 30′ deep X 32′ wide with an 8′ ceiling.

I’ve been seeing stoves for around $1000-$1200 at Home Depot and various farm stores. Some have pretty decent reviews, some don’t.

Burn time is a concern. I want to keep it above freezing and only bring the temp up when I’m working out there. It seems like most of these stoves have about 5 heat settings and burn rates of about 2 lbs/hr minimum. Does that sound pretty normal? That would be a little over $5/day to operate at the lowest setting.

Maybe I’m being unrealistic, but I was hoping to run at around 1lb/hr and stretch out the pellet usage.

Some of the stoves say they will take a thermostat. Maybe that would help with the usage?

I’d appreciate any info on this before I pull the trigger.

Locked in 4 wheel drive

Was out for a ride today and noticed that on my dash it showed I was still in 4 wheel drive where as the button was in the 2wd position. I tried reverse and can’t get it out.i tried locking the front diff and the light will flash but won’t lock up completely .i checked fuses and nothing is blowed.the button is working to turn the diff lock on but just doesnt lock it or take it out of 4wd .does anyone know what the problem may be? I did have a rattling noise in the front diff a couple months ago.dont know if this has anything to do with it.
