FSMs for ATVs?

Is there such a thing as a factory shop manual for ATVs? That’s the one I believe vehicle manufacturers publish for their dealership mechanics. Trying to find one for a ’11 700 Grizz. Or anything similar would be helpful.

What I said.

I owe all of you an apology for my comment on an earlier thread.
Also I am guilty of hijacking Trev’s thread. Sorry Trev. Didn’t mean to.
I didn’t have any thoughts of anyone being reprimanded or banned. I wasn’t defending anyone.
I do fully appreciate the work of all the mods on this and every forum that I frequent. Their commitment to the forum leaves them no time to participate in the chatter. That alone is a sacrifice. It seems that when someone becomes a mod they are basically only heard from to put out a fire. Although DrMud drops in a little more often.

What do you guys think about this polaris?

I know how everyone feels about polaris, but my cousin is looking for something cheap and in good shape. I looked at this thing and it really looks like it’s never been on dirt. Like showroom new. Not a thing wrong with it and tires are new. He doesn’t ride like I do, wreck less and blaze my own trails, so he doesn’t need it to be able to take a beating like my grizzly. I think he would let it go for a little less. Just wondering.

Popping my head back in after a long hiatus

Hey all!
Haven’t been on the forums in a long time. I see a few familiar names on here, but even more new ones, which is very cool! The last time I was on for any length of time, the rumors were flying about a new 800 Grizz, battles were being waged about whether or not Yamaha was becoming the new Honda, and guys were bolting to Can Am left and right.

Nice to see that some things never change…:devil:

I’ve joined the ranks of the SXSers with an Arctic Cat Wildcat, but I promised the wife I’d stay off that forum. Even SHE knows forums are expensive. The old Grizz ain’t what she used to be, but it still runs and it holds a lot of good memories. I’ve put on fewer than 20 miles in the last three years. But then again, it’s hard to put miles on racing it 120 feet at a time.

I have to dig in to the motor again. Its smoking like a chimney and drinking coolant like a drunk at happy hour. The roller chanels in the primary have grooves in them. The wet clutch lost its bite. My snorkels leak. The one way bearing is shot. The valves rattle.

But by God it still starts.

She will live to race again.

Round of applause to the Moderators

I would just like to say my Thank you to the moderator(s) that keep this forum what it is. I belong to many forums for my truck and oher bikes and this is by far the best one around.

We had a small issue with a member on a few topics doing nothing but stirring the giant pot and it was delt with in a timely manner.

New SxS

So how about those September commercials ???? I don’t know if i am looking forward to the release more or my hunting season that opens Aug 30…… Not that i’ll get one but want to see what they put out there…..I’m Yamaha but i am real happy with my 900 RZR….

Rebuild Master Cylinder ??

My 2011 700 front brake lever does not return all the way out to disengage the brake light. It fails to return to the full outward position by a mere fraction of an inch. I can simply fip my pinky to complete the levers outward travel for the light to go off.

Problem is, riders behind me cant see me brake at night when the light stays lit, and dont want to get rear ended.

Bike has only 1000 miles on her. Im thinking either the spring in the master has weakened or a seal gets wedged right before fully disengaged. Will do a master cylinder rebuild, but wanted to see if anyone thought something else may be at play to cause it.

Cheers mates !

First Oil Change 2014 Grizzly 700

I love my new grizzly!

Just had my first oil change (10 hours), and the dealer is claiming it took over 3 liters of oil…of course he charged me for 4 liters. I’m concerned, the manual calls for 2.10 liters. 30% more oil than the manufacturers spec, is this possible?
