I’ve got a chance to pick up a 98 big bear 350 4×4 for $500. It got sunk and the guy got the water out of the motor and changed the oil and then quit messing with it. It is snorkeled, has a 2" lift, and it still turns over and almost starts. Do y’all think it’s worth the money? I’m guessing a carb rebuild and a top end at most and it should be running good. I could be over looking a possible issue though. Any input would be greatly appreciated
Alright… was doing some searching for a fire extinguisher mount and came across this picture from a product carried at HD. Now, I get marketing and trying to push your product, but this picture… seriously?
WTF could they be saying to that poor boy while they are all so f’in happy? Wouldn’t a fire escape plan be rather serious? Seams they are laughing at him which gives me the feeling the rest of the family generally isn’t very fond of him. That poor kid!
My caption for that jpg reads like:
Son, we really don’t like you very much so we are going to stick you in that back, basement room. Notice how there’s really not a proper escape route for you. Our lovely Sally here… well, her room is on the ground floor so she can just crawl out of a window. If we have a fire and unless you get your ninja skills operating at 110%, you’re gonna cook.
Bored cylinder new piston, rings new cylinder head. good gas and spark, new head gaskets what the hell! It wont start now!!! What is wrong! Timing maybe but I lined up to TDC still won’t start
New to ATVing and by the end of the summer I’ll probably be heading out into some remote mountain regions for some back country trail riding, and I’m wondering just what kind of stuff/tools etc I should bring along in case of breakdowns/events etc. Short list so far includes a GPS (probably a Garmin Montana 650T), a tire repair kit, and courtesy of my Mom one of those satellite personal locator beacons, probably the ResQLink+ from ACR.
Any other suggestions for stuff that might come in handy?
Not sure if anyone caught this, finally got around to watching this episode that was DVR’d. Anyway, episode is on youtube now, link is for the full episode, to go to the start of the Wolverine review, skip to 10:29.
Just got my first 4×4 (’11 700 Grizz) and I’m entirely unfamiliar with anything aftermarket. Does anyone make a second passenger seat for the ’11 700 Grizz like I’ve seen on some of the Polaris 2 ups?
So 4 days after the birth of our daughter I decided to make a quick run to pick up this hunter green R Spec. I really like it so far with 12 km on it. It could definitely use a clutch job and new tires (so it got new tires)
I find she really shines in the creepy crawly stuff (can’t wait for a 2 inch lift to be built ) I threw on the 26 inch OGs of the grizzly to see if I wanted to stick to that or if I wanted to go 27.
It has one hell of a cvt whine but that will be downed out by a stereo in the near future. The eps is amazing, has just enough feel to stay in control easily but has tons of power when needed.
Gunna try not to catch the mod bug as bad but we will see
I will be testing the crap outta this thing for the rest of its life as it rides with mavericks and rzrs let’s wish it luck
