Got this message randomly on my 2010 Ford F-150. Wife read the book last night for me, said possible high current drain is a possibility, if only happens with a trailer attached, problem is the trailer, if without a trailer, in truck. Mine was only with the trailer.
So ran some jumpers bypassed the wiring to trailer brakes, same problem, then cut axle wire off, solved, bingo, read online somebody had a wire rub in two inside the axle. This is the wire that goes to the other side. Intermittant, high vibration, rubbed the wire bare, caused a short, rewired problem solved.
Easy, right, now let me tell you the rest of the story…..
Does anybody know where the 2 longer cvt cover bolts go to.iv got one in on top where the brack its for the heat sheild but can’t find where the second one goes
Does anyone know the max size tire we can put on a 16 Grizzly 700 with the new stock wheels? Also, are there radiator relocate or snorkel kits available yet?
I have a 15′ all stock 700 grizzly and winter will be here before I know it here in Ohio and im going to retire my riding lawn mower plow and add one to my grizzly.
Currently I have no winch or anything,so im going to need everything. Plow, winch and assuming winch mount right?
I havent looked at winches in a while, but it seemed every one has their opinion, some claim warn is the only way to go and others say the harbor freight winch has been great.
I dont use my grizzly that often, just use it for recreational trail riding and going to use it to plow my driveway, "20’x60’" and im sure the neighbors will want some help from time to time. So im looking for a decent plow that will hold up and attach and Detach easily.
I want good quality but then im not looking to spend a grand,so if you could recommend some gear that will do the job well,Id appreciate it.
Hello , I am ready to buy a new Grizzly and have found a left over 2015 special edition in a color I really like (matte silver) but I also really like the new 2016’s. Is the 2016 much better? enough to justify the 2500 dollar price difference? any help/opinions would be appreciated.
Just unboxed the SW and I’m trying to figure out where some of these parts will be installed. For the most part everything seems straight forward but I’m having trouble deciding where these should go…
Piece on the right is the solenoid (and is maybe called a ‘contactor’ in some of the utube install videos i’ve seen) and piece on the left is the circuit breaker. Best advice I’ve gotten is to install both of these ‘under the hood.’ Here’s mine…
I was hoping to convey a better sense of the space in there but a pic doesn’t seem to be doing it really. Anyway the plastic piece that covers all this lies fairly close to the top of everything leaving not a lot of extra room.
There’s a slim chance I can find a solid piece of something in there to mount the smaller circuit breaker piece to, but far as the larger solenoid piece goes there’s only one place I can possibly see it going, and that’s in this hole here that goes back just behind the battery…
But because it’s going back in there so far there’s no way of securing it to anything. Best idea would be to get everything generally in place and installed wire wise, then wrap the solenoid in layers of thin sheet styrofoam like material I’ve seen in packing materials. Wrap as much as possible and slide back into the hole for a snug fit. And if a solid mounting option under the hood doesn’t present itself for the smaller circuit breaker piece I suppose it could be installed the same way. Don’t like the idea of things shaking around in there but as long as there’s no problem with the wires coming off the solenoid touching the styrofoam wrap I figure I can just keep a close watch on the wrapping and replace when needed.
Now onto where to mount the remote plug-in socket…
Any suggestions?
And last I need to identify a switched power wire somewhere under the hood on the old ’11 700 Grizz to hook into. Can I get a good description of this wire or maybe a picture to be sure? Install manual says to use a wire coming from the ‘vehicle ignition key switch.’
review…
1) Any alternative suggestions as to where to mount the solenoid or ideas on wrapping it up and mounting it in the hold?
2) Ideas on where to install the remote winch plug in port?
3) Idea where to tap into a switched power line under the hood? Picture would be helpful.
Very happy to see what Yamaha gave the world today. It’s pretty much what I thought it would be aside from it being a manual. Love that it’s a manual for its purpose.
Now with their promise to introduce new SxS models and ATVs I wonder what they will come out with next. I’m hoping for a narrower, lighter, cheaper version of the yxz 1000. Maybe the 847cc triple, less than 54" wide, factory winch, ultramatic trans. Still with the same doors, roof, lights, 27" bighorns but maybe a little more fender in the front? Maybe it won’t be cheaper afterall. I’d be happy to give up some of the 16" of travel for a reduced width. I can’t see them backing off after this release and the trail version will be introduced more subtly than the sport version for sure.
