Riding in Gaspe Quebec

I just curious if any of you have had the chance to ride in Gaspe quebec? I recently read an article in a magazine about atving there and it looks awesome. It’s about a 15 hour drive 1 way for me, but im thinking of planning a trip for next summer there.

Just looking for some first hand input, im looking to explore some new areas on the Grizz

Thanks!:gcrules:

Choices, always good

Evenin’ all, recently convinced my little brother to sell the Raptor 700 to get a 4wd atv, (read Grizzly), ha. No doubt, he rode the Raptor everywhere I rode the Grizz and had only been pulled out of sticky situations less than a half dozen times, however that’s not the problem. I rode the Raptor on the last trip and I told him if that was the only ride I had, I’d stay home, water everywhere, teeth were ratteling (I’m old), and fast as shit, ha.
So it’s gone and looking for a new quad for him to ride, really want a Grizzly and looking at all at this point for our ride in early November. Ran across an ’09 Brute Force that has peaked the interest however I’ve seen good and bad reports on them. I know the Grizzly and want to stick with that since I have parts, ha, and know how it all comes together the work. Looking reliable and can take a beating, just like a Grizzly. I’m pretty sure I know my answer, just throwing it out there if I have missed something along the way? XX let me know what you think, I trust you on this.

Howdy

I’m back from my 30 day holiday, lol. How is everyone this fine evening?

Other than my 250 mile, 5 day ride back in August, I haven’t done much riding this month. My dad had major dental surgery 2 weeks ago and is still recovering.

We’ve got a ride planned for next weekend though, looking forward too it.

Its nice to be back in the saddle here.

I promise to behave.

Water Question

I went out for my first ride on my new Grizzly yesterday. Absolutely loved it! It’s tons of fun and feels like it will go anywhere. My question is about going thru water. I didn’t go thru any water that’s too deep, I’m not worried about water in my air box. I was just wondering if I should check my differentials or anything else for water in the fluid. I’m new and still learning about the bike. Are the seals pretty good on these bikes?

I saw Optimus Prime!

So we’re driving home from Baldwin MI back to IN, and we came up on this semi with no trailer. I said "Hey check out the triple pipes on that rig!"

Then I said the trucker phrase "If you have the chrome, you don’t go home."

"What is this? Optimus Prime or something?"
"Holy s***! It is Optimus!"

I don’t know if the guy did an incredible mock up, or if it was actually the movie truck, but it was frickin’ cool.

Tips for Newbie

Hey everyone, I bought my first 4×4 quad, went with the Grizzly 700 Special Edition. (blacked ou). Anyway, I have some questions about it.

What is the best gas to use? I put premium in everything, is that okay or should I use mid grade or regular?

Will most winches bolt right on or do I have to get a special plate/bracket?

I want to get bigger tires eventually but would like to build it up before I do so I don’t break axles or anything. Clutch work, controller and exhaust is what I’m thinking I will do first, as far as performance. Sound good?

Is there anything I need to know or should watch out for with this bike? I have been riding my whole life, sport quads though. Just sold my Raptor, it was built and super fast. I knew everything about that bike, mostly learned from a forum. I do my own work and maintenance.

I can’t wait to take it out for the first time! I am going to be careful though, the manual says to break it in over a 200 hour period. Is this something I should really stick to? Tha k you again and I look forward to chatting with all of you!

Need help, grizzly won’t start

Tried searching and came up with a few things but still can’t figure it out.
Here’s the way things are going:
1. 2009 550 eps Grizzly wouldn’t start, 12 was displayed in the lower left hand of the display. Loud clicking heard. Did some searching here and it said maybe battery. Called the yamaha shop near by he said confirmed and said start with a new battery (original one was still in)
2. New battery in, go to start and it’s still making the loud clicking. Except now the display doesn’t display 12 anymore. As I’m hitting the starter it’ll display either er_1 or just a 64.

Thoughts? I’d rather not take it to a dealer….
