Brand X’ers

These are my words and my opinion.

I have watched other members carefully chose their words to say this nicely, I am in a foul mood, so I am saying it the way I see it.

This is Grizzly Central, not "all make and models". For those that chose "Other Brands", and come back here needing purchase confirmation bias about how good a decision that they made, expect little sympathy from me. Expect to hear from me every reason why I ruled that model out. Sorry about your luck, I will be as opinionated on other brands as I am on my tires, just prove me different in the field, preferably a hundred miles plus….day. And no, most likely if your machine is overheating I will not want to waste my ride day sitting around waiting for it to cool off.

I ride a Grizzly because I do not want to drive a school bus through the woods. I ride a Grizzly because when I am hours and more miles from the truck than I can walk, dependability matters. I own three Grizzlies at this point in time. I am comfortable with my purchase decision. (The fact that I even feel the need to write this paragraph on a Grizzly sites makes me mad at myself).

We as a forum have been very generous to Brand X’ers. I don’t need to log into the forum and see a brand x’er telling me his is bigger than mine, it may be, but mine will probably last longer.

Try taking your rice burner over to the Harley site and see how well you are received.

I encourage "ALL" members to call it the way they see it. The Good, the Bad, the UGLY.

Added grip warmers

Hooked up a Quad zone Heat demon grip warmers today.
Found the wire to the brake switch was the only uncovered set of wires. A spade connector on a shield mounting nut, and it’s happy fingers.

Trying to get 10 posts so I can post links

Recovery Point(s)

I was having a discussion with my buddy on safe recovery points on our ATVs. In certain videos I have seen, the guy who is stuck will have someone just come up to their winch and hook onto the their winch hook. Is that going to any damage long term? I realize it’s all spooled up and engaged so maybe it won’t do any harm. Just don’t want to break the winch prematurely.

I am unsure if that is an appropriate method, I would think personally that maybe a tree saver strap wrapped around the front bumper then a D-Ring through the two ends would be a better option.

Thoughts anyone? Thanks!

Educate me on 250 sport quad….

Looking to pick up a sport quad for my 8 y/o son.
I know ZERO things about them..

Thinking either a Raptor 250, or a Honda TRX 250.

What is going to be the better machine?
I see one is shaft driven, and one is chain driven.
Whats the pros and cons?

What is Hondas sport clutch?
The website shows that it is a 5 speed w/ reverse.
But how does it work?

They both a good names, so I would be thinking the reliability would be about the same?

Which one is going to be faster?

He has been riding snowmobiles, dirt bikes, and UTVs his whole life. Driving a clutch is not an issue.
He is probably 51" tall, will this chassis even fit him?

Thanks in advance…

Power steering ???

I have a grizzly 450 with EPS, it has 118 miles on it And I don’t think the power steering is working correctly. This is my first ATV ever and have not had much experience with them so I thought that thats the way it should be. But yesterday It seemed to actually come on and work for a little bit. It sure was nice when it came on and I realized that it hasn’t been working up till then. But it would come and go. Does anyone have any suggestions?
