Anyone wanting to use stock guage from apex and Yamaha speed sensor w Yamaha gear, this will work and be within 5mph ,made clutch cover similar to bents and mounted sensor inside cover so gear is on end of secondary, the Yamaha gear has 15 teeth on it and was way off, I took ten teeth off of gear leaving 5 on it spaced evenly, leave 1 tooth take two off, works awesome was within 1 mph of 75 mile ride today comparing to my 800s. And very close clocked w GPS, STM secondary with longer bolt.
After much consideration and frustration with the Z1 XP4 Swap I’ve decided to ditch that project and swap in an LS 6.0L with Mendeola 4D trans. Also going to flip the configuration to rear engine.
I really want to go after Linger’s World Record, so this should be in the right direction if I can keep the front wheels on the ground!!! Will probably get a Procharger D1 on E85 @ 15psi like my street truck, 800HP!!!
Initial fitment looks good. Amazingly there is pretty good room for the engine. Some traditional sandrail headers should fit fine. Trans should be here next week to see how it will fit.

I am thinking of swapping a different engine into my 2012 800 rzr 50 inch and am wodering if a 900 or 1000 engine will fit in the machine and if I can use the 800 transmission
I was wondering what clutching everyone is using in their Z1 swaps? I am using a stock Z1 primary with a 911 billet cover and bigger bushing and the STM secondary. I was thinking of going with a STM primary but I want to see how many people are using a stock primary. Mine is also in a 2012 rzr4 800. I would like to know if there is any other rzr4 800’s with a Z1??

Need some advice from the experts please……my rx1 engine suffered major damage which based on my limited research thus far would make total replacement a wiser choice money wise……it was turboed and I plan on this route again…….for cost difference is apex the smarter option initially?……I am prepared to freshen motor with lower compression Pistons and bearings as needed to have reliable motor…….looking for reliable, pump gas, not drag racing……..in a long travel Xp 900 2 seater……I’m in Central Valley california……lil limited on gurus of these power plants in my area…….any guidance/advice is much appreciated
Well got my apex in and must say truly unbelievable, have one issue can’t figure out, apex harness to Rzr fuel level, when I filled it up threw a code engine fuel and level all flash, pulled pump and when you drop level lights go off but can’t get level right, anyone else have any ideas??
