Secondary rollers in sad shape

I replaced the primary weights in my ’13 xp900 to see if I could gain just a small improvement as it seemed to be sluggish on take off. It also seemed to have a two stage feel right off idle when stomped hard. It’s hard to describe but you smash the gas, it starts to accelerate and about a half second after it starts moving it would hit harder. Almost like it was trying to start in second gear and it shifts to first all of a sudden. ( yes I know it don’t have "gears")
Anyway, in,with the 58 gram primary weights and then I notice this! The secondary rollers are flattened. I’m,thinking this was causing my issues with the take off grunt. I’m wondering if it’s also messing with my top end which has been limited to about 60 for the most part.
I just ordered some of TODD’s high temp high squish rollers so I’m hoping for wondrous things once they’re in.

Starting Issue with 2013 RZR 800 EPS

Hi guys and gals,
last night I came across a problem with my RZR. Its pretty cold here where i’m located in Canada so I assumed it was water/Ice. the bike started as it should but was reved up a bit more then normal making it hard to put in and out of gear. once I got her warmed up a bit she reved down to the point where she stopped and I haven’t been able to get her going since. she would start for a second but had no power whatsoever to move forward. Then she stopped and haven’t been going since. I removed the injectors and tested them and the fuel is atomizing perfectly, the fuel pump is working fine, I assumed it may be the spark plugs so I changed out those and there is lots of spark present. I assumed with lots of fuel, air and compression that she would start but she just keeps rolling over and over and over and not even attempting to start as she normally do. I’ve had the bike for two and a half years and and this is the first issue I’ve had with it. I’m a little stumped and frustraited. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RZR 800 Fuel Pump & Pressure Regulator

Had the dreaded fuel pump issue. Followed the procedure johnnycat8 posted here: http://www.rzrforums.net/engine-driv…fuel-pump.html
The brass nutserts were a problem as usual since Polaris chose to use thread locker on the bolts. Four of the six were locked into the nutserts and had to be pried off the fuel tank. Reset them with JB Weld and bought a $14.95 fuel pump off Ebay. Pump now works fine, but would’t hold pressure. The pressure regulator failed. Couldn’t find a replacement with the same rating of 270 KPa and the part number on the Polaris fuel pump assembly doesn’t exist nor is there a cross reference that I was able to find. After a lengthy search I found a similar fuel pressure regulator with a rating of 3 Bar. Turns out 270 KPa is 2.7 Bar. 1 Bar = 14.5 psi, so 3 Bar = 43.5 psi. Not quite 39 psi, but close enough. Part number is 0280160557. Fits a VW Jetta Mk 3/Mk4, 1.8T and 2.0L engine. $34.43 on Amazon Prime. Installed it and now the fuel pressure test yields exactly 43.5 psi. It looks slightly different with a hose barb for the overflow exit, but does not interfere with re-installation.

Looking for Rollers XP1K

Hello there. I never post so sorry if this is in the wrong section. But I do lurk almost every single day. I am looking for a set of rollers for my front cage for a 2015 XP1K. My good buddy is a mechanic at a Polaris dealership and he says that they are on back order until January 20th. Obviously I don’t want to wait that long so my question to you all is does anybody know of where or who would have a brand new set sitting on a shelf somewhere for sale? I am getting the itch to ride bad as I just bought a ton of aftermarket stuff for my unit. Thanks in advance.

Hot Rods Crank – Journal Main Bearings

Hey guys,
Im new here but not a desert newbie.

I just purchased a 2008 RZR 800 that had a seized motor. I tore it apart and one of the rods sheared at the crank side and took out the crank, rods, pistons, cylinders, and camshaft. Case halves look just fine and same with the head.

Anyways, I ordered everything to rebuild it to original spec with all original Polaris parts except for the crank. I opted for the Hot Rods crankshaft.

So now i have a question… For those of you that have used the hot rods crank, how have you chosen the correct journal main bearings? I have read that there is color coded bearing halves based on the crank and case numbers but Im not sure if there is numbers on the hot rods crank. Also, the manual I downloaded does not indicate anything about different bearings.

I have searched for days but have not found anything on this. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
