I was hoping you guys could help me set up my shocks for the best mud riding performance. I have 30" silverback and plan to nearly bottom the shocks out for max lift.
Went for a ride yesterday in 102 degree weather and when I got back to my home I could hear a sound like moaning coming from my 2008 CanAm Renegade 800 X . After further investigation I found that my fuel tank had built up pressure in it and was venting . My question is, is this normal and if not what should I do to remedy this ?
Also on another note I have just replaced the fuel pump about 3-4 weeks ago and the fuel gauge reads empty all the time now, any suggestions will help .
Thanks Jim Cooksey

Just wondering what everyone runs for rubber in the winter. I’ve sold the xmr and I’m waiting for my xxc to arrive in October.
In the past on brutes ive run terra cross for winters , best all around for winter trails and deep stuff. Just want to get an idea for what everyone else is using and of course our internet opinions 😉
My machine sounded like somebody getting their money’s worth in a cheap motel bed.
My front and rear suspension creaked and squeaked No matter how much grease I pumped into it. I also had a loud metallic ping and random clunking while riding (not the one way bearing, I’m familiar with that). I assumed the clunk was the sway bar bushings but the metallic ping was kind of spooky. I couldn’t pin point it or duplicate it, only did it on the trail. All three noises are gone now, here’s why. I bought this wheeler with 120 miles on it and it started getting noisy soon after. I’m pretty sure the dealer that I bought it from power washed it which would explain the source of the squeaky suspension. I decided to check the shocks as the source of the squeaking. When I unbolted the top and moved the shocks I found that the lower pivots squeaked like hell. Removed all 4 shocks and cleaned and greased the bushings and pivots. The pivots had no grease in them (power washer) and were really hard to move, now they’re smooth like buttah. This alone completely changed the suspension of the bike. It actually got plush and absorbs small washboard type stuff like it never did before.
I replaced the rear sway bar bushings with Garage Products bushings and bingo, no more clunk and no more ping. the clunk was obviously the bushings. I think the ping was actually the metal bushing mounting block shifting ever so slightly on it’s through bolts from the force of the sway bar slamming around in there. Either way it’s like I have a new machine. Two things worth checking if you never have.
On my 13 1000 renegade I’m running 30" zilas with the dalton mudder clutch kit. Right now it’s set up to their recomended set up for 30’s which is their 3 light weights and stock 3 weights. I want more low end … What are your guys thoughts on using all 6 of their lighter weights to get more clamping power? Would that be too hard on the belt or machine? Also I’m running a secondary spring.
Sorry if this has already been covered. I did a quick search but didn’t find quite what i was looking for. I went out riding last weekend and in the middle of the trail my secondary came apart. The bolt fell out and the whole thing kinda made a mess in the clutch cover. It did some damage to the helix and inner sheave and the two bushings inside. The parts aren’t cheap to repair everything. I found some one localy selling a low mile secondary for 160$ my question is. Will a 2010 renegade 1000 secondary work on my 2008 renegade 800 without any issues?
Hey guys. Picking up a 2013 1020 gade. Just wondering on what is the best brand for a rad relocate/bumper, and if they will allow me to insert a custom logo on the front screen, and again what company with.
Thanks!!
