Thanks for the help.
2015 Outlander Max XT 1000

I put the key in and nothing, no power to anything.
I replaced the relays in the fuse box with new ones, checked all fuses, including the two at the rear of the bike and every one is good. Battery is fully charged and connections tight. Checked the underside of the fuse box and wires look good.
The weird part is, if I pull the main relay and do a bypass (put a jumper from the lower right pin to the upper left pin), I get power to the instrument panel, lights, fan and I think, the fuel pump as well. Push the starter button and nothing. The relay shouldn’t be bad, as I tried using 2 brand new relays just to make sure.
Any ideas?
Outlander Choices!
I am very happy to announce I plan to buy a new ATV in the next few weeks and I have decided to buy a Can Am. Before I start this let me say I’m from Ontario, all prices are in CND. Tax
over here is 13%.
I fell in love with the new XMR 570 which got me heavily researching the Can Am. I found out that I can only get a 6 month warranty on the XMR and I don’t plan to use the quad a lot until that warranty will probably be over. I don’t plan to heavily use it for mudding, most likely trail
riding but I loved the relocated rad.
Below are the quads I have been recently been quoted on with the factory warranty’s (no fee).
[I am using the base price as “Quad 1”s price plus what the next model up costs. I don’t want people focusing on the base price too much, mostly just the price differences.] All prices below are plus tax.
Quad 1
Outlander L 570 DPS (5yr warranty)
Quad 2
Outlander L 570 LE (5yr warranty)
“Quad 1” + $780
Quad 3
Outlander 570 DPS (3yr warranty)
“Quad 1” + $850
Quad 4
Outlander 650 DPS (3yr warranty)
“Quad 1” + $1750
Quad 5
Outlander 570 XT (3yr warranty)
“Quad 1” + $1540
Quad 6
Outlander 650 XT (3yr warranty)
“Quad 1” + $2350
Other than the rims / tires / bumpers / hand guards & winch are there any other major differences? I have memorized the sale brochure but I’m curious if you guys know more. Are there any suspension differences? Are there any changes in the belt protection? What I’m getting at is there any difference on items that are bolt on bonuses? I feel like I can buy items down the road that will make one quad the same as the other. I see some of the quad over all lengths are different. I’m curious if that’s due to the bumpers added or if the frame is a beffier size.
I’m undecided right now on paying the extra cash for the 650 over the 570 so if there is any debate there feel free to chime in. From the comparisons I have seen to other brand motors I think I’ll be happy with either one.
Another question is how robust is the Can Am warranty? Is it worth changing quads for the extra 2 years? Just wondering if anyone can share some stories.
Any major difference between the Outlander /L and the XMR other then what the brochure shows?
Thanks guys, this is my first post, make me proud!!!
Tie rod hitting tire?? No way!
will G2 wheels properly fit on a G1?
Would (factory equipped) 2016 Rzr take-off wheels/tires fit my 2009 Outie?
Spacers or lifts needed? I want to keep it under the 50" width.
Also, would I need wheel spacers if I were to replace my stock tires with the one inch wider Bearclaw HTR’s?
Thanks.

Amazing air compressor review
Ok….so for years and years and years, we just packed a simple, yet effective standard bicycle pump. But…as you all know, Can Am puts on the lightest, crud tires (on my Outlander 1000 XT) which are not puncture resistant. So every single day, I’m pumping up the tire to ride. Granted, I only had five or six plugs in the same hole (rolls eyes)…., when I purchased it, I figured that the dealer would have set up, they’d check certain things like air pressure…and they did….but every tire was over 12 psi….which we all know is over what these tires should ever see, so I slashed one pretty good on a ride. YES, I KNOW….I should’ve checked them for myself, but I didn’t. When I did, it was too late and they were all bulging in between the lugs. Ok…so onto the review.
I not only have my atv’s, but I have a jeep wrangler, a toyota 4runner a couple chevy trucks and, well…I have a problem. So I wanted an air compressor that would not only work for my atvs, but something I could use for full size rigs.
Enter the Viair 88P. It’s a new model which has amazing capacity in a small package. If you check out youtube, there are some killer vids on it. This unit has clamp to battery hookup and requires the rig running to use it. (unless you have a nice big battery on your full size rig). It pumps anything up…..FAST. And for under $60 currently; it’s an amazing deal. I also picked up (both from Amazon) the case that someone else had purchased for it which fits it perfectly (and plugs, pressure gauge, etc) which is this
If you don’t have an air compressor and are looking for something that not only works for your atv, but any full size rig, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Viair 88p. I’ve never been impressed like this on small, plug in style air compressors, but if you check youtube, my vote of confidence isn’t the only one there….everyone really loves this thing.
I am in no way affiliated with this unit, I work for Boeing; helping to engineer the next generation of airplanes. Ride safe everyone, and go prepared.
compressor VIAIR Corporation – 88P Portable Compressor( P/N 00088)
Oh….and this compressor packs a ton of performance in a very small package. I went with this model instead of one that plugs into the aux port because there were many people who said it kept popping their 20 amp aux fuse, even though this unit only requires that. The issue is with the size wire used to wire the aux port on our machines and also today’s vehicles. No such issue when plugging right to the battery. Oh, and another nice detail….instead of having the little clamp on deal to attach it to the valve stem, it actually screws onto the valve stem…no leaks
’11 400 Ignition problem
I’ve had a problem with my ignition on my 2011 Outlander 400 T3 (tractor, Norway) several times. The issue is that the ignition does not handle bad weather, and it gets ruined. :th_smiliepissed: What happens is that the key won’t turn around correctly, and it does not register that the key is in (wrong key) or the power won’t come on. Now, this is not the first time this have happened, and I think it is unneccesary to go to my dealer, and have them to change it and program the keys again. It is too expensive! :th_smiliepullhair:
So, the question is, how do I fix this myself, OR, are there any other ignition switches that I can fit instead of the crappy switch that is standard?
Thank you.
