BRP Snorkel Kit

I’m debating buying the brp snorkel kit so I don’t have to worry about the intakes when I ride in water or mud, but I have a few questions. Is it difficult to install? Is there any cutting involved? Is it worth it? Anyone’s input or experience is also welcome.

Slip on ? Outlander 800

Hi everyone , Looking to add a slip on to my 08 Outlander 800 and wondering if any thing needs to be done to the fuel injection ? I know some with carbs need to be jetted but unsure of fuel injected models. Thanks in advance for any help.

Whistling noise from gas can

Filled up the 1000 xtp this weekend and went for a ride.
when I came back there was a noise coming from it after I shut it off. Long story short, I unscrewed the gas cap and it went away. Keeps coming back tho.
Is this common? Easy fix or a dealer problem to fix? It didn’t do it at all through the first tank or 2.

NEED ADVICE! 2010 outlander 650 xtp vs 2015 outlander L 500

I am looking to get a new atv for this winter to plow driveways. I am buying used off of craigslist. Currently I am torn between two deals, both are in excellent condition. I dont know if i need the extra power of the 650 or how important power steering is. Keep in mind I will have to shell out ~$500 for a plow and mounting system for the 2015 outlander L. What do you guys think is the best deal? I can afford the spend $6250 but that amount is a huge purchase for me. Tell me what you’d go with if you were in my shoes. i will not do much riding other than just plowing in the winter at least for a few more years when I will have more time

#1 [Price: $6250] 2010 Can am outlander 650 xtp with 300 miles. comes with warn 2500# winch and a 54 inch moose plow set up. has power steering.

#2 [Price: $5000] 2015 Can am outlander L 500 with 50 miles. Comes with a little over 4 years left on a transferrable warranty and a winch. Does not have power steering.

First ride in 2 years…

I FINALLY took my 800 out for the first time in two years! I took it pretty easy since I’m still recovering from shoulder surgery so I kept it in 2WD and didn’t push it much. My buddy and I went to Prairie City which is a local riding spot that’s small but very well developed and just enough space for me to get warmed up. A little drama! I forgot my helmet so I had to drive home to get it then my buddies quad has a carb issue and his battery is dead so we had to keep jumping it until it got warmed up enough to idle…

I’ve had a "glitch" with the speedometer, whenever I’d go over rough terrain my dash board would light up and my speedo would go dead…I checked everything from relocating the battery to the rear storage compartment, checked all the connections in the dash cover. Well my old battery finally died so I put in a new one and problem is solved! I’m not really sure why this fixed the issue because the last battery was tight, wasn’t loose at all and I put rubber padding on top of it before I closed the compartment lid so it wasn’t moving at all! This was an issue when the old battery was brand new so my only guess is the ground side on the battery had a bad connection on the battery.

Quad ran great! Not a single issue, did pretty much everything to it in the past week in terms of maintenance, changed all fluids, plugs, cleaned out transmission case, new battery, new oil, new gas…Also used my new Harbor Freight trailer for the first time as well, it’s been sitting in the back yard for a year!

It was a good warm up and I didn’t feel sore today so I think I’m ready to ease back into some serious trail riding! :aniwheeler6:

Steering Stabilizers?

How many of you are using a steering stabilizer? Do you notice a significant difference? With my shoulder problems I’m thinking about getting one but they are pretty expensive. Dealer wants almost a grand to install a power steering kit, that’s just too much money.
