I blew out a front shock on a 2001 300EX, I have read tons of threads on guys running 400 arms and shocks with the relocation bracket offered on Ebay. I would prefer not to widen the front end. Has or does anyone run a 400 or 250R front shock with just a relocation bracket?
Machine is just a trail cruiser, no racing or heavy bashing.

I’m looking to get my 400ex suspension redone. I have 450r front shocks and oem rear shock. Has anyone gone this way? Are there any companies that are favored over other? Any help is appreciated.

Good morning! I have my classic ride giving plenty of go, now we need to work on the whoa. I have the rear brakes tore down, and I need to get new shoes ordered to have that operational.
Then on to front brakes…the sight glass is broke out, and has been for some time. The screws on the cap are very stripped out. I have been examining my options. I figure I just need to plan on getting a new MC. As with all things, I have noticed a pretty sizeable price difference between cheap aftermarket parts and even crusty used Oem. And then there is fit. I am not finding many direct fit options for the 1984. A guy at a local shop said pretty much any mc will work. Is this correct info? In my mind, I see no reason it wouldn’t. I know on cars, a master cylinder for drum brakes won’t work with disc brakes, and vice versa. Is the same true on ATV’s? I imagine I am gonna need to plan on replacing lines. Is there a good source for those lines? Once again, I am finding parts for newer models, but not the 1984, so I am wondering about interchange.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I have a 2015 rancher and its really high for trail riding in my area.im putting on 25s which makes it even worse.will shorter shocks lower me or will I lose ground clearance also..irs.i wish they never changed the frames on these.ranchers.
On my 250sx there are brake drums on both sides of the front wheel. There is a cable running up to the front brake lever. Only one can hook up. Why is it like this?
Hey all, I have a ’88 (?) TRX350D Forman that the front brakes are not working. It appears the slave cylinders on both sides are seized from corrosion. In its earlier life it was rode hard and literally put up wet and not ridden for a few months. Seems you can still get cups and boots but not the whole assembly. Also I will need shoes if I can get the slave cylinders working again. I have not tried to disassembly, clean, hone, and use what parts are available but suspect that will not work. Thoughts on slave cylinders from a 300, and recommendation for shoes?
Hey new member here and don’t know exactly what to type to search for what I’m looking for….. I have a TRX 250 and a TRX 300 both 2wd, 300 looks like someone took dynamite and put it in the rear brake drum. Axle won’t stay in place anymore so I figured if I changed brake drum that would fix my problem, but nobody in my area wants to let their Honda ATVs go, so I’m usually shit out of luck! I did however find a TRX 250 today for $80 guy said it runs just tranny is hooped….. So I figured I’d take the brake off and put it on the 300……. Well…… They’re different……. Same bolt pattern but different housing…… Different style of axle as well… What should I do?
