Help deciding between these 2 tires

First off, here is the size I need.

27-9×14 (F)
27-11×14 (R)

So far, it’s between the ITP Mega Mayhem and the ITP Mud-Lite XTR. Both weight roughly the same. I am upgrading from Carlisle AT489 so I have nothing to compare other than those, haha.

I want them to be aggressive in mud, but don’t want a crap ride on the trail. I ride in places that has sandy trails (some places are heavy) and a mix of hard / soft dirt. And that’s to get to the muddy places. They need to be able to climb and pull on steep grades. Hope this is enough description. Any help is appreciated.

The XTRs are a bit more expensive, so I’m leaning towards the Mega’s as of now.

27″ Mega Mayhems on ITP SS112 Wheels

Got these put on today.

Tires: 27" Mega Mayhems front: 9" wide x 14" wheel, rear: 11" wide x 14" wheel
Wheels: ITP SS112, front: 14" 4+2 offset, rear: 14" 5+3 offset
Source: KJ Motorsports. Ordered on Tuesday midday (from New York) and they arrived by FedEx Friday by lunch in TN.

No rubbing, plenty of clearance on front struts and tie rod. As stated by others, the knobs on the tires are clearly felt on pavement. When you get faster, it smooths out. Haven’t gotten them dirty yet.
