2006 Sportsman 800EFI running rough

Seems like the same problem I experienced last fall. Got the ATV fixed last fall and everything seemed OK til now. I cranked it up to put it on the trailer and it was running rough. It was sputtering and acceleration was very slow. If I kept working at it by pumping the accelerator, I could finally get the RPM up and I would get a small amount of backfire. When it runs at idle, it will run a short time them die. My friend suggested the I drain out all the gas and put new gas and a new fuel filter on it. He thought it was water in the fuel. I did all that and there is no difference. I’m now getting a code 21 and a check engine light. Help please.

Carb stopping fuel from moving? 2011 Sportsman 500 HO

Hi,

I have a problem getting fuel into my carb and I suspect something in the carb is the fault.

When I turn it over and the fuel line is connected to the carb, the fuel does not move through the line. if I remove the line from the carb and turn it over, the fuel flows very well through the line. I checked the float bowl last night and it is very clean. I will be removing the carb tomorrow and doing a full check but is there something else in the carb our out of the carb that I should be concentrating on?

TIA

2015 Polaris Sportsman 850

Have a new 850, question is how often do I need to change fluid in differentials? Most of the riding I do is pushing sprintcar through the pits and back country roads with my 2 1/2 year old. What other maintenance do you guys recommend? Mobil one or amsoil for the engine? Thanks guys!!

Which piston do i need?

I’m working on a 95 xplorer 400 4×4. In getting ready to order a piston for it but not sure which one to get. I’ve used a micrometer on the cylinder and it’s showing .050, but all the pistons I’m seeing for sale are 83mm to 85mm. I don’t think it’s been bored before, just not sure which size to get.

99 sportsman diesel fan issues

Hey every one been a while since I’ve been on here I got rid of my old 01 sportsman 500 and got a 99 sportsman diesel but I’m having a problem with the cooling fan it is not coming on I replace the sensor but no luck it is not boiling out of the reservoir but I did notice a small drip coming out of the hole on the right side at the base of the engine I’m guessing it’s a weep hole for the water pump any ideas and does the sensor on the engine work with the sensor on the radiator to make the fan come on because my overheat light will come on but my fan will not

Thanks in advance

PS I assume the sportsman gas and the sportsman diesel are similar in cooling systems

1999 Polaris Sportsman 500 – Chunk missing from primary clutch sheave Help!!

So my 2 yr old daughter managed to drop a 12 mm socket down the cvt vent tube while rebuilding the carb. It managed to take a chunk out of the primary sheave. Unfortunately i did not notice until i started the machine. It is the ebs model and seems to work fine still but ive heard they are balanced and so im concerned about the damage that might happen if i leave it as is. It doesnt seem to vibrate any worse then before. I was contemplating filing the sharp edges down so it doesnt tear up the belt but i am nervous. I appreciate your advice and input. I was looking for just a sheave on ebay and cant find any that look the same. I did find some complete primarys but im confused on the ebs vs non ebs and what and what wont interchange. Not to mention the small fortune the ebay guys want. Thanks.
